My sports fix is never empty in general because I watch the 4 major NA sports lol so I always have a team playing, but, man, I watch XFL and just long for another losing Cowboys season instead of watching a different Dallas football team lose.

I call bullshit on Myles Garrett being reinstated. He should have served his suspension, but instead Goodell let him back. And since he got reinstated, he still accuses Mason Rudolph calling him the N word.

Are you fucking serious?! So he's gonna keep playing the victim of being called the N word and have Rudolph be vilified as a racist? He should have stayed suspended if he's gonna act like he's the real victim of the incident between Browns and Steelers. Bitch a little more dude!

Nobody even bringing up Mason saying anything, majority of the talk on all the sports shows I've seen, which are the major ones have been talking about the helmet grab and that's it

Motherfucker you just trying to make something out of nothing.

That's because he didn't say the N word. If any of his black teammates had heard it, it would be evident that he did say it. There's no proof of what he said.

Got a couple of NFL news to throw out.

- Drew Brees is back for another year with the Saints.
- Greg Olsen has signed a one-year contract with the Seahawks.

I think it's win the Vince Lombardi Trophy or bust with Brees' return to the Saints for the 2020 season. Despite missing five games last season, he's still playing at the top level. I think the Saints should sign a wide receiver via free agency, to pair up with Michael Thomas and help the Saints offense out, cause Thomas can't always be your go-to guy when he's double teamed. The sky's the limit for #9.

For Olsen, I seriously doubt he'll play a full season without suffering injuries. Being healthy, he could be a threat to the Seahawks offense now that they got a key piece for Russell Wilson that could need a tight end to catch short passes. Good signing for the team.

Definitely think this is the last hurrah for Brees. Seems noncommittal to anything past this upcoming season.

The trickle down effect is that Teddy Bridge will probably be taking a starting job somewhere else. I can see him in Indianapolis, Tampa Bay or LA depending on where Brady goes.

Taysom Hill stays in New Orleans and is used in his similar role. Guess he’s the QB in waiting; which is interesting to me.

Brees giving it another go no shock there, but I'm happy for Olsen. I still think he has plenty in the tank and he'll be a great asset for the Seahawks. Kinda bummed in my team letting go from Nigel Bradham making our LB crew ever so weak. March 18th Free Agency starts should be very interesting what happens for alot of teams who think they are close to making the SB. I've been keeping a huge eye on the Draft too with all the major players in College and I might make a Thread for the Drarft in April as we get closer and give my predictions of who will get what player in the 1st Round.

So, this is happening this upcoming season:

So, there's 32 teams in the NFL and out of those 32 teams, nearly HALF of them (14 to be exact) will make the playoffs. That seems like a bit much to me when nearly half of your league is going to qualify for the postseason. Can't wait for a 6 win team to make the postseason..

:CENA

And you would think someone like me who's been a fan of a team that has sucked for the last 7 years (Giants) would want this because it might help my team get in the postseason, but I'm not. As much as I LOVE the Giants; I love the NFL and football just as much, and something like this is only going to drag down the quality of play, especially in the postseason, which there is no excuse for because only the best of the best should be playing in the postseason.

Not a fan of this. Out of all of the things that you can fix in this league (coughcough officiating coughcough), you decide to 'fix' something that isn't even broken? Dumb. There was/is nothing wrong with the current playoff format. I get it means more money, so that's all that matters..

I also thought right the thought of a Game or two being strapped from the Preseason and putting it into the Regular Season right? I kinda figured something like this would happen adding another spot for the Playoffs it was coming up the Piles for quite awhile now. Sometimes you have that Team that barely sneaks in like my Eagles, but at least they got to 9-7, but for sure you're going to see a 8-8 get in or even 7-9 at some point. One bye for the Highest Seed hell yeah I'm for that, but at the end of the day deal with your own business on the field and don't worry about seeding because anything can happen in the Playoffs.

16 of the 30 NBA teams make the playoffs and I don't see a whole lot of basketball fans complaining about it.

Don't think it'll be a big issue to add those two extra teams. Is it necessary? No. But it isn't going to hurt anything, I don't think.

Yeah, this was my first thought as well although I do kinda think over half is ridiculous, if the NBA would just add two more teams I'd be cool with half. But the NBA also plays 7 game series which compared to the NFL's one game helps weed out the shitty teams better, so this could also be really hilarious for the NFL lmao

It doesn't hurt anyhting on a measurable level, but half, or nearly half of your league qualifying for the postseason just rubs me the wrong way. It's kind of like rewarding mediocrity to me.

The 9-7 Giants won a Super Bowl, the definition of rewarding mediocrity.
