I'm not even saying winning the championship makes the 2011 Giants the "best" team that year, but it sure as hell makes their 9-7 record and unimpressive stats irrelevant.

It's definitely arbitrary in the end, and I get where Grim is coming from completely. From my perspective though, you can't call world champions mediocre. You have to at least be GOOD to make it through the cutthroat NFL postseason, and there's simply no way you can chalk it all up to luck.

Yeah we pretty much agree I think, I just also think it's fine to call those Giants mediocre bc they were...but any Giants fan can just clap back and say "championship" and I'll concede the argument

Whatever helps you sleep at night bud. Have you ever even got to watch them play in the Super Bowl. My team might have blew the lead, but at least I got to watch them play in it. You was pretty damn young the last time the Bengals made the Super Bowl.

I doubt that. They've been twice since the last time the damn Bengals went. We both got an 0-2 record in them games.
