“I’m currently taking legal action against said party, so I can’t speak too much more on it, but there will be more information to come. With that being said, I would like to thank the WWE for the amazing opportunity they’ve given me in my life. I thank you so much for bringing me on. I’d like to thank all the coaches that I’ve worked with over the years for helping me work on my craft and grow my craft and grow as a person.”

“With all that being said, the journey continues. I’m ready to get back to doing what I love to do. I’m accepting bookings in 2025, and I thank you all for your support and for your time.”

I’ve said when he got fired…

Domestic violence is one of those things that once you get even the stench of an accusation on you, it’s pretty much a wrap. Definitely one where you’re guilty til proven innocent.

So if he’s got evidence to prove he didn’t do anything wrong then he better come correct with it. Cause the court of public opinion is very strong and right now, no shot anyone books him

Court records indicate former WWE wrestler Odyssey Jones, real name Omari Palmer, was granted an order of protection against his former partner in September 2024, shortly after reports emerged of his release from WWE.

Palmer’s termination from WWE was reportedly related to domestic violence allegations, although the company has not publicly commented on the reasons for his release.

In his petition to the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court in Orange County, Florida, however, Palmer alleged he was the target of multiple incidents of harassment and threats from his ex-partner, stemming from an incident on a cruise ship in May 2024, which he says included physical attacks against him. Palmer claimed, according to court filings, that his ex-partner’s behavior was escalating and that he felt he was in “imminent danger”.

POST Wrestling has decided not to name Palmer’s ex-partner, as she’s not a public figure.

Legal documents reviewed by POST Wrestling do not include statements from Palmer’s ex-partner. In an effort to obtain her side of the story, we reached out to an email address believed to belong to Palmer’s ex-partner but did not receive a response.

To date, there are no known criminal charges or arrests that have been made related to these incidents.

The Florida court on September 6, 2024, first granted Palmer a temporary injunction for protection against dating violence, a court order intended to restrict contact or proximity with the person named in the petition, often in response to allegations of abuse or harassment. Judge Alison A. Kerestes has since extended the order twice: first for two months on September 17, through November 17, 2024, and then again last Monday, January 6, 2025, for an additional three years, into early 2028. This means Palmer will continue to have legal protections against any contact or harassment from his ex-partner during this period.

Palmer’s petition indicates that he and his ex-partner began dating in 2017 but separated in 2018. He claims he had an order of protection against her in 2018 in Suffolk County, New York. He added that she attempted to file for an order of protection against him at the time as well, but he stated in the petition that her case was denied. The relationship resumed in August 2023, according to Palmer, although they did not live together.

Palmer also mentioned a December 2023 incident at a hotel in Ft. Lauderdale, in which he alleges his ex-partner “showed up uninvited and unannounced and attacked me in front of my friend and other witnesses.”

One of the incidents described in the petition allegedly occurred during a May 2024 cruise in the Caribbean, where Palmer alleges that his ex-partner, intoxicated at the time, physically attacked him.

he believed I interacted inappropriately with another female,” Palmer’s petition to the court stated about the incident on the cruise ship. “She became increasingly more irate and started punching, slapping, and kicking me. She was screaming at me the whole time. I attempted to defend myself from her attack by hugging her arms to her side.”

Palmer claimed that his ex-partner was taken into custody on the ship, and removed from the room they shared, and he believed she was later picked up from the ship by her family.

“After that incident, she has made numerous threats to get me back in any way she can,” Palmer’s petition from September 5 reads. “She has made up lies about me, and went as far as to contact my new place of employment and succeeded in getting me fired this week.” This seems to refer to his termination from WWE, although the company isn’t named.

Palmer also stated that he filed a related police report with the Maitland Police Department in Florida, alleging stalking.

Palmer resides in Orange County, but court records indicate his ex-partner currently lives in New York State. Possibly related, Palmer is originally from Brooklyn, New York, according to his Instagram account.

It’s unclear what specific allegations Palmer’s ex-partner may have raised that led to his WWE release.

The former partner of Omari Palmer, also known as former WWE wrestler Odyssey Jones, has alleged he engaged in physical abuse against her. Her allegations are outlined in a police report from last year obtained by POST Wrestling and further elaborated on during an interview with us, in which she alleged other incidents of abuse.

POST Wrestling agreed to withhold the name of Palmer’s ex-partner at her request because she is not a public figure and has shared sensitive information regarding alleged incidents of violence.

A police report filed on May 23, 2024, received from the Maitland Police Department, records the ex-partner’s allegations of battery, which allegedly occurred on May 17, 2024. According to the report, she told officers that Palmer became “extremely angry” after discovering text messages she had sent to another man. She alleged that he threw items, grabbed her, and slammed her to the floor twice.

Photos of bruises on her shoulders and both legs, which she claimed were caused by Palmer, were documented by police as part of the report. However, Palmer denied the allegations of battery in the same report. The police report indicates he stated that he became upset and threw objects around the apartment, but denied throwing objects at her. He said neither of them became physical during the incident.

“He got upset over me texting someone and started throwing me around along with household items and my personal belongings,” the ex-partner told POST.

Palmer was contacted and declined to provide comments for this story.

“I respectfully request that charges be filled [sic] on [Palmer] for battery, one count,” the reporting officer, Willington Camargo wrote toward the end of his narrative.

The Orange County State Attorney’s Office confirmed on Wednesday to POST that the case is still under review, with no decision yet on whether to formally press charges. The case is assigned to Kristina Mills, who is the Bureau Chief of Domestic Violence & Human Trafficking for the State Attorney’s Office, according to a LinkedIn profile that appears to be hers.

The ex-partner also alleges that additional incidents of abuse occurred during a Caribbean cruise shortly after the May 17 altercation. Despite the alleged incident at Palmer’s apartment, the pair still went on the trip as planned.

She alleged that he threatened to break her phones before leaving and insisted that she wasn’t going anywhere because the trip was already planned out. Palmer’s ex-partner told POST. “I told him I saw where this was going and I was going to leave because things were not going to go good on the cruise. It was repeated behavior so I saw it coming. He told me to sit my ass down and calm down, that we were leaving the following morning for the trip.”

Once on the cruise, she alleges the abuse continued and that Palmer caused her to suffer a concussion, destroyed their cabin, and threw one of her phones into the sea.

She alleged that Palmer “bashed me against the walls in the cabin a few times because I was leaving the room. I had bruises all over my body.”

Palmer filed a petition for an order of protection against his ex-partner in September, in the days after he was reportedly released from WWE. His filings present a different account of the cruise, alleging that his ex-partner became physically violent during the cruise, accusing him of inappropriate interactions with another woman. “She became increasingly more irate and started punching, slapping, and kicking me,” Palmer wrote in his petition. “I attempted to defend myself from her attack by hugging her arms to her side.”

Palmer’s petition included a claim that he filed a police report with the Maitland Police Department, alleging stalking against her. However, the department informed POST that no record of such a report exists. The only police report on file involving either party is the ex-partner’s May 2024 battery allegation.

Palmer’s filings claimed his ex-partner subjected him to physical violence, threats, and harassment, which caused him to fear for his safety. He also alleged his ex-partner attacked him at a hotel in December 2023. The court granted the protective order, which was recently extended through January 2028, without making a determination of fault in the underlying allegations.

His ex-partner denies his claims of violence, harassment, and threats, and said she believes Palmer was granted the protective order partly because she lacked legal representation in Florida, as she doesn’t live in the state.

“Omari twisted the story to benefit him and told his lawyer a bunch of lies which clearly were not backed up by evidence,” Palmer’s ex-partner told POST, alleging he manipulated the situation.

Palmer’s ex-partner says WWE conducted its own investigation into her claims and ultimately terminated Palmer’s contract in September 2024.

WWE did not confirm or comment on the nature of Palmer’s separation from the company.

She expressed gratitude toward WWE for taking her allegations seriously, stating that they contacted her to discuss the matter in the course of the investigation.

In a video posted on social media earlier this month, he also denied “false claims… coming from a party I used to prior (sic) engage with,” though he didn’t go into detail.

“He begged me to forgive him every time. It’s like two people live in one body,” she said, recounting instances of alleged violence involving Palmer, who she had been in an intermittent relationship with going back to 2018. “He put me through so much mental anguish,” she claimed. “No one knows what happens behind closed doors.”

Describing his behavior further, she alleged, “He would have violent outbursts and increasingly erratic frustration periods and take them out on me.”

Palmer’s ex-partner says she is supportive of legal action against him in Orange County related to the potential battery charge. “I am no longer scared to speak up after he instilled fear in me for so long,” she said.

“I used to feel bad for Omari and hoped he would change his erratic behavior and abusive ways towards me. He portrays [himself] to be someone else to the public, to his fans, to his parents. No one knows a lot of the things I’ve kept quiet and endured,” Palmer’s ex-partner told us. “I wanted to protect him and love him but it reached a point where enough was enough.”

Yeah her filing a report before the incidents he's alleging she did even happened in his own version events makes it look real bad.

Also I can't think of a woman that would make a guy his size be fearful for his own life. The dude is freaking huge.
