Okay I like to say WWE should be ashamed for treated NXT UK as their Red headed Stepchild. You guys might be wondering what are you talking about bobohead right? Well I watch NXT UK Week to Week and WWE treats it I feel like an afterthought vs the other Shows. WWE has used NXT UK Talent the past couple of Months to bolster ratings, and they didn't give the same care I feel back towards their Show. Takeover: Blackpool 2 hopefully wakes up WWE to care about them and not forget about them going forward after World's Collide.
Bate vs Devlin was my Match of the Night boy did those two really tear it up in there. I kinda wanted Devlin to win to get his win back from Bate from 3 years ago, but he had a hell of a performance in a losing effort vs Bate. Bate had one of my favorite Matches from 2019 with WALTER, now he starts off the Year with another banger with Devlin big things are going to happen for him going forward no doubt. I thought the Ladder Match was insane and the second Match of the Night, loved so many spots including the Double Swanton Tribute from Webster and Andrews through a Table. I was hoping for Imperium to take the Tag Titles here, and I was kinda disappointed in Gallus retaining because I don't see either guy being anything special. So their biggest moments was bringing Tables into the Match and a Spear through a Ladder okay...what did they do before that? Oh well Imperium will win the Tag Titles eventually, but still a Car Crash that made me want to keep watching what was going to happen next.
Seven vs Dennis was okay. I never been a fan of Dennis as a Wrestler, he can talk it up like a Champ, but he leaves alot to be desired in my opinion as a Wrestler. Seven did him the favor in losing to get him going, we'll see if theirs a return Match. Kay Lee Ray vs Toni Storm vs Piper Niven was a fun Match. Seeing three ladies who I've seen wrestled against and with each other Years before coming to WWE was special to watch. I was pulling for Piper to win her first NXT Women's Title in this one, but it wasn't her night. KLR might of been the least interesting talent in this one for me, but beating two of the big babyfaces on that brand makes a statement for sure.
WALTER vs Coffey was a drag to get through at times. It wasn't due to either guy stinking up the place, it was due to me not being invested in that Match all. WWE put themselves in this position having WALTER run through British Strong Style way too early, and with those except Dunne having a Match at the Show tonight Coffey was the only guy left. Coffey had his moments that made him seem like he could beat WALTER, but I was like come on get to the end of this. I hated...hated the finish with the Referee knock out, and Wolfe showing up that wasn't needed in this one. This is WWE putting their hands on something a little too much, WALTER doesn't need anyone's help to keep his Championship. All of this was going on then Undisputed Era show up and the Roof blows up in excitement. Cole and UE fucked with the wrong group, hoping WALTER gets him back at World's Collide.
