Goodness me the overreaction to this is laughable. The brand is on hiatus for 3 months minimum. They probably weren’t willing to relocate for that time frame. Rather than have them sit around doing nothing, they’re off with the ability to keep busy. A good portion might be re-signed when Europe launches.

It's sort of the plague of the UK model tbh, they tape 6 weeks a time iirc, which, well, presents times like this when the champion is a mystery on TV yet was revealed on live NXT. Maybe the European model will be different. Who knows.
