So I'm getting caught up on Wrestling from the past Week and boy did I enjoy the past Week of NXT on Christmas Night. I thought that it was just going to be a Highlight type of Show like I've seen from Impact, but none of that plenty of great action all around as their NXT Year End Awards comes this Wednesday! So happy seeing this Show Strong vs Theory is easily the best thing from this Show. It was my first time seeing Theory and it seems like the guy WWE wants to make into their next Cena. He has the look, the abilities and early on I was like okay show me something and as the Match went on I started to feel the guy and understand why he has a fanbase. Strong took him to school, but Theory should plenty of heart and toughness throughout to wanted more appearances by him on the NXT Roster going forward.
Swerve vs Gallagher if you like hard hitting action in Wrestling, then this is the Match for you. Gallagher is a do it all type of talent and Swerve and Gallagher fit each other like gloves out there and you saw so much magic between the two. I thought for sure after all the pain Swerve was going through a headbutt would finish him, but Swerve went through that pain and got Gallagher where he wanted him and got the good win during the Show. LaRae vs Conti. You know as I watch a clip of WWE promoting this stupid ass storyline between Rusev, Lana, and Lashley and the addition of Liv Morgan it make me shake my head how theirs so ladies on the Roster who serve no purpose and really shouldn't be on the Main Roster. I look at ladies like Candice and Taynara and seeing them work hard is what I wanna see on the Main Roster. More of that please and less of these girls being on my Weekly TV. Conti for Months now has improved and you're going to improve greatly when you're in the Ring with LaRae. Candice might of gotten the win it a solid bout, but clearly Conti is moving up in the eyes of WWE and I'm all for it.
Dominik Dijakovic vs Bronson Reed. I don't know I wasn't really feeling this Match early on because I think Reed is bland right now and I think WWE dropped the ball a little bit with Dijakovic. Lee has moved up since his feud with him and Wargames, but WWE is keeping Dominik sorta in the same place. It had a few good spots, but nothing that made me go wow this is a good bout. Bianca Belair vs. Shotzi Blackheart was a fun watch I got to see Shotzi for the second time since I saw her in Impact before getting injured later, but she showed plenty of skills vs Bianca. Bianca needs to let shit breathe in the Ring. Shotzi goes for a Submission and she wants to quickly get out no stay in it. Even the Tornado DDT attempt felt like she didn't want to take it. Still good debut for Shotzi!
Keith Lee & Lio Rush vs. Tony Nese & Damian Priest was a fun Main Event that had Lee in a Santa Hat and Cookie being thrown at Nese. When it got to the important parts of this Match it was great to see Rush and Lee really work damn good together and they should work together in the Dusty Rhodes Classic. This Match could of been even better if Angel Garza was apart of it, but hey it was Christmas be happy.
