It's weird to see how lame this card looks though, yet have full confidence that it will deliver.
With these Takeover specials, three things usually deliver: the Women's match, the title match, and another featured match which almost always included Tyler Breeze.
Since they got rid of Breeze and the talented women for no fucking reason whatsoever, the card is struggling, but we know they're going to pull through.
It's weird, but do you think Asuka and Emma could open the show? All personal feelings aside it feels like there's a whole lot on the shoulders of those ladies to really bring another memorable match to this card. Really, really hope they deliver something great, and after 4 months or so of build, I'd rather not see a squash here.
It feels GREAT to not be able to have 100% confidence in an NXT Women's Championship match sucking. You can't put those words together. Bayley and Nia Jax will find a way to deliver, they always do. Nia's really, really unproven, but if this winds up being Hogan vs Andre 2015 it should be great because Bayley, if they have a more back-and-forth encounter they'll find a way to make it work... There's no way in hell you change the title here - especially if you're going to play Yokozuna and Ted Dibiase with these two, fuck off with that - but Nia looking strong in defeat will mean a lot for her.
I mean, great opener with Asuka/Emma, solid to good tag title match, speech from Sami Zayn on his return, onto Apollo and Corbin, then Bayley and Nia before seeing the death of Balor in the main event... The show should flow fantastically and there's going to be those little hidden gems that make the show feel big.
Amped. Lets do this RIGHT HERE TONIGHT... oh, hi, Authority, what are you tal... Wednesday? TLC is tonight? Urgh...
