I think the opening 6 man was solid, and the main event at least had some of those trademark NXT sequences where everyone's hitting big moves. But the general vibe of the show felt off and unlike the usual TakeOvers where the energy is high and everyone is going full tilt. It was most noticeable in the main event unfortunately. I think you could definitely skip it and not be missing out on anything much though (especially considering the result of the ladder match).

Maybe it's just a recency bias but this card on paper had to be one of the weakest TakeOvers in several years so i'm honestly not too surprised by the reactions.

It was but even then I expected more. No clue why the Xia match was on Takeover over GYV vs Thatcher and Ciampa either, not that I really had anything against the match but still lol. Ladder match was most disappointing I'd say, main event was fine with me for the most part but the crowd made me mad during it lol
