NXT moving full time to Full Sail University

Full Sail University issued the following announcement:

WWE and Full Sail University are combining forces to make entertainment history! The WWE franchise NXT is moving full-time to Full Sail University and Thursday, May 17th, 2012 will be its inaugural event. A powerhouse night of hard-hitting action returns to the Full Sail Live Venue as WWE invades the Full Sail University campus!

The night will feature a special appearance by WWE’s own Triple H and includes a WWE Superstar Showdown with World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus going against Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship and Kofi Kingston and R-Truth going against Epico and Primo for the World Tag Team title!

Want to sit ringside? Wear your favorite WWE shirt and bring your most creative wrestling sign and you could find yourself closer to the action than you ever imagined.

This event is free to all Full Sail students and staff with a valid Full Sail ID. Please send your ticket request to events@fullsail.com for tickets!

Starting on May 17th, WWE NXT will hold it’s own tapings, combined with Florida Championship Wrestling starting at 7pm at Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL. Tickets are free to FSU students with ID as long as they reserve tickets in advance.

PWInsider.com reports that this is being done so that it will make it easier to integrate the WWE developmental talen tinto the mix for NXT. The general hope is that the University feel will result in better crowd reactions, as well as help to upgrade FCW TV to a better look.

Pretty good idea imo mainly cause of the FCW factor of the whole thing.

More like they are both moving to one new facility with tech and a full time video editing studio, as that is one of the top liberal art schools in Florida if you are into that shit. FCW will tape there as wetland it would probably help a lot of the roster to get used to bigger crowds and upgraded tech, better than going from the FCW Arena to say a Staples Center?

In short, NXT just became Impacts number one competition?

Superstars is going to be changed by this as well IMO. They are going to have to make it a full show over just matches thrown together before SD as SD alone ain't worth the ticket price to the common fan ala Raw.

That place looks pretty incredible based off these pictures... Not sure how it will look but I think it's good thing NXT/FCW are doing this together instead of just random guys on the roster for NXT over guys with more talent in FCW just bidding their time to be wasted on NXT.

Think of the experience these kids in the media department will be getting I'm jealous. It does seem like it puts them in direct competition with Impact I mean the quality of show would be equal you can probably assume at least for the first year to get quite the crowd.

As far as hurting FCW I don't think so they still need to use that as a workout facility. There just freeing up some room not sure if the ring on shows is the training ring or freeing up time probably both with at least moving crew equipment etc

Since Wrestling involves a lot of acting, you should try and get on the #roster. Real life rants could be a great segment, no joke.
