After an amazing heel run and being part of the best long-term WWE storylines in ages which has not yet had its epic conclusion, Tommaso Ciampa is out with one of the worst injuries possible, a neck injury. Thus what could have been one of best NXT Title reigns is likely going to come to a premature end when the next NXT Tapings are done.

Now this leads an important question: What now? Because, spoiler alert for episodes that have yet to air, the begining to what would have been his NXT Takeover: NY match build started at the end of the last tapings.

It's Johnny Gargano... Duh

So, if the title is vacated and we need to have a match for the vacant title, who should be in it and who should win?

Personally, I see Adam Cole and Johnny Gargano being top contenders and we can have Gargano win and finally win the title, or have Adam Cole... Bay bay... Win and perhaps build a new feud for Gargano to give his title win heat since without Ciampa, he's lost some...

No matter who wins it, it won't be the same. Worst news ever for me as a wrestling fan.

well now he's injured physically and mentally.

Honestly, its potentially a good thing that he got injured this early in his WWE run. Now he can re-debut at a time when 3 other NXT call ups are all trying to get that shine.

Except this was a year after a major knee injury and will be already in his mid-thirties when he is back... With a shortened career from the same injury Edge, Sting, and Austin had...

He's been around. He's nearly 34 now so a neck injury at this point in his career is a big set-back. Like Sheamus also has spinal stenosis and he is 41, but he didn't have major neck surgery for it and doesn't wrestle an as risky style. So Ciampa is in a rough spot.
