After winning the “Second Chance” Fatal 4-Way Match on Raw, Cedric Alexander sets his sights on Drew Gulak and WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore. Plus, is Nia Jax causing The Certified G to lose focus?
Last week on Raw, after trying to encourage the members of The Zo Train, The Certified G was confronted by Nia Jax, who had only one question, “How you doin’?” The Realest Champ in the Room seemed stunned at Nia’s presence, but one week later, the WWE Cruiserweight Champion still had her on his mind. While having a pep talk with his close ally Drew Gulak about the “Second Chance” Fatal 4-Way, Enzo accidentally mentioned Nia’s name while listing the competitors. Gulak caught the error but played it off, despite Muscles Marinara looking rather preoccupied with the thought of Nia.
Later, once again conferring with Gulak, Enzo was approached by Nia and did his best to impress her and take attention away from his associate. Before walking away, Nia told the champ she wanted to speak with him in private. The Realest Champ in the Room was certainly intrigued, but the sudden interest Nia has in him has already proven to be a distraction, as seen earlier in the evening.
With Gulak and Cedric Alexander set to battle next week on Raw for an opportunity to challenge Enzo for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship, is Nia’s presence causing The Realest Champ in the Room to lose focus before such a major challenge?
With Rich Swann’s opportunity to face Drew Gulak to determine who would challenge Enzo Amore for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship revoked by WWE, a “Second Chance” Fatal 4-Way Match was held on Raw to determine who would earn the chance. After besting Zo Train members Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari, as well as his ally Mustafa Ali, Cedric Alexander earned the right to face Gulak next week on Raw.
Before Alexander faces Gulak on Raw, the North Carolina native will no doubt be confronted by The Zo Train on WWE 205 Live, potentially to weaken him before his match next week. However, Alexander has proved his resilience on more than one occasion and will certainly not back down from any challenge.
Ready to seize the opportunity that awaits, Gulak is the perfect opponent for Alexander given the circumstances. After all, it was Gulak who prevented Alexander from winning last week’s Fatal 4-Way Match. Will Alexander show Gulak and The Realest Champ in the Room exactly what they are up against, or will The Zo Train strike first?
Don’t miss the action on WWE 205 Live at 10/9 C on the award-winning WWE Network.
