The only valid strap-type matches are the ones with pinfalls. The "touch the corners" types are bad

I disagree about being valid, I've enjoyed plenty of 4 corner ones but overall and especially if it's some blood feud I'd much prefer just pins or submission in a brutal match

Like Eddie/JBL was fine as 4 corners bc the point was JBL was trying to cut corners to win the title, but Bryan/Fiend woulda been weird af if they did it lol

I agree mostly but there's something about them being strapped together that makes it more intimate I guess

Yeah i'd rather dog collars for the ones that make more sense to ditch the 4 corners gimmick and keep the 4 corners for actual strap matches bc I think they have a place as well

Also the way the announcers always sell it as "you gotta make your opponent dead enough that you can touch all four corners" is great, but they always end in some fuckin' relay race to the last corner I would like that to be a more rare finish
