what does syndication mean, it doesn't really exist here

The best example of syndication in Canada would be how Family Channel and YTV have licenses with certain companies for a limited version of their libraries for reruns. Also Omni, APTN, Vision TV air syndicated programming. The local versions of the big Canadian networks also have aired syndicated programming outside of the network programming and the news programming.

While the CW has had a history of drawing some ok numbers... One of the reasons they agreed to this deal (I assume) is because they basically just cancelled all of their scripted shows or a large amount of them. In hopes of getting reality and game shows, which did benefit NWA in landing a channel but we'll see how that does for people actually tuning into the station going into the future. No more DCTV, No Supernatural or spinoffs, no more of the teen drama stuff. It's a channel basically trying to reinvent itself so that spot on top 20, top 30 or wherever it actually is doesn't mean anything anymore.

Hopefully for NWA they'll be treated like TNN treated Raw when they turned into Spike TV

I feel like that transition really only benefits NWA. Seems like these lower effort channels love wrestling since it's cheap to produce and hands-off for them. Just a content machine.

The only issue I imagine will be if the channel itself can stay alive but I think we're still a ways away before CW has that issue, a lot more gonna close first I'd guess
