North Pro #2
January 27, 2024
Keystone Centre
Brandon, Manitoba
The second show in North Pro history kicked off in the Keystone Centre once again but this time, Mustafa Ali opened the show decked out in a suit. It is clear that Ali is overjoyed at the fact that he is in North Pro and that Canada has welcomed him as their own but his promo quickly devolved into insults being thrown at the fans in attendance. Ali made it clear that he will not take any disrespect and that he is Canada’s greatest son. The crowd was not too pleased with this and were elated when the trio of Mahabali Shera, Harv and Gurv Sihra interrupted him.
On the ramp, Shera declared that he and his brothers in arms will not allow anyone to slander the audience and that Ali has already proven that he’s all talk. Ali reminded him that he got a victory last week over Leon Ruff and would gladly kick Shera’s ass all over the arena. Shera agreed to a match against Ali in tonight’s main event.
NORTH PRO CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT ROUND ROBIN #3
QT MARSHALL VS. SHAWN SPEARS
Spears looked to rebound here after his embarrassing loss last week against Jeff Cobb and seemed more evenly matched against Marshall. Although not the greatest match, both men showed why they have a place in this tournament and Spears managed to rock Marshall before hitting the C4 to get the victory and the all important 3 points in the tournament.
Winner of the match by pinfall: Shawn Spears (8:22)
The video screen lit up with a video of three men in a dark room and it is soon clear that these three men are Eric Young, Axel Tischer and Killian Dain. Young stated that he knew he needed his friends because he knew this place was going to be insane. The promo continued with Young promising that he was going to become the first ever North Pro Champion and that the three of them will bring just a little bit of Sanity to North Pro Wrestling.
SAMURAY DEL SOL VS. FLIP GORDON
After losing in a tag team match last week, both men had something to prove with this match and prove it they did with both flying around the ring. “The Mercenary” quickly took control over the match after hitting a secret low-blow on Del Sol. Gordon proceeded to show no mercy over his opponent who he would finish off with the Star-Spangled Stunner.
Winner of the match by pinfall: Flip Gordon (11:49)
Gordon would proceed to get on the microphone where he would make it clear that he is on a mission and that mission is to show that the Board made a mistake when not including him in the championship tournament and that he is determined to go through every single member of the roster until he tastes gold.
NORTH PRO CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT ROUND ROBIN #4
ALEXANDER HAMMERSTONE VS. DIRTY DANGO
Dango’s last chance to secure some much-needed points in the tournament got off to a rocky start as Hammerstone used his power to throw Dango around the ring. Dango tried his hardest to fight his way back into the bout but was promptly planted with the Nightmare Pendulum by Hammerstone and getting pinned meaning that he will finish last in Group A.
Winner of the match by pinfall: Alexander Hammerstone (6:33)
The video screen once again lit up with a video package of sorts which hyped the coming debut of one of the hottest commodities in wrestling today and showed blurred highlights of said superstar. A voiceover made everyone aware that this man would no doubt dominate North Pro and be on top in no time.
Following the prior video package, Jeff Cobb appeared on the screen in an interview pit with Sean Mooney who announced himself as North Pro’s backstage interviewer which garnered a large pop from the crowd in Manitoba. Helms quizzed Cobb on his thoughts on the championship tournament and Cobb simply stated that he has yet to show Canada how dominant he can truly be but that will come in time.
MAHABALI SHERA VS. MUSTAFA ALI
Shera surprisingly came to the ring without reinforcements, making it clear that he wanted to do the honorable thing. Ali, on the other hand, came out of the gate with dirty tactics, poking Shera in the eye. The two fought back and forth with Shera using his size to his advantage, tossing Ali around the ring. Ali once again used dirty tactics when he hit Shera with a low-blow that went unnoticed by the referee. Ali attempted to get Shera to submit to the Koji Clutch but was unable to get it locked in. Shera fought away from Ali and managed to hit Sky High to get the victory.
Winner of the match by pinfall: Mahabali Shera (15:34)
As Shera celebrated his hard fought and first win in North Pro, Ali collected a steel chair from ringside which he very promptly used to clobber Shera in the back. The Bollywood Boyz attempted to make the save but Ali also laid them out with the same chair. The show closed out with Mustafa Ali standing tall over Shera and his boys.
