Sure he'd have some influence on what goes on, but it's not like he writes the shows, controls the hirings/firings, shit like that. Maybe it's because TNA in general have felt the need to try and be more like WCW since Hogan's come in, thus why they did it in the first place. But, it's much easier to place the blame, like Hogan now, and Russo before him.

Russo is probably liking this cause all (or most) of the blame has been taken off of him and put on Hogan.

^^^Wasn't Russo removed from his position to a position of less power recently? I remember him crying about it on a radio interview or something.

As for Hogan, his influence got Spooge Sponge into the company. That's more than enough bad to outweigh what little, if any, good he did. : )

I don't think he's the head booker anymore. Regardless, he never had the final say on what went on TV. Jarrett gave everything that went on the green light in the past.

I think it's stupid that they even wanted it to be like WCW in the first place. Instead of trying to be like something that was already done, they should try to be original.

WCW was awesome back in the day but it's like DX. DX reuniting was lame and didn't have the same OMG AWESOME factor it had back when it originally formed. The reuniting was just two guys in their 40's acting like Blue assholes instead of the funny team they once were.

^^^Amen! When WCW was at its apex in 1997 there was nothing better. They had the deepest roster with the best wrestlers on the planet.

I absolutely agree about the fuckin worthless DX reunions. Especially the grotesquely homoerotic tank ride last summer.

It was especially hard to watch someone like HBK act like a tool. Here we have a fucking respectable legend and they make him out to be a douchebag. It was really embarrassing to watch and sad to see a guy like HBK do dumb shit at that age. Back in the day, it was awesome and fit the time. This time around, it was fucking fail.

^^YES! Like working behind a lunch counter! Really? Or pretending he can't read. Or going under the ring to little people land. When I saw that I didn't know what to do or think. Well, I did say, is this really happening?

Eh...I disagree slightly about the DX reunion thing. When they got back together in '06 it was originally AWESOME! Because it's one of the few things that Creative has actually done right in the past decade. They built that shit up for weeks and weeks and weeks. We all knew it was going to happen, just not when. And I marked the fuck out when HBK hit sweet chin music on...was it Nicky?...of the Spirit Squad!!!

Honcho all I meant was the way they hyped the initial reunion in '06. There was no stupid bullshit gimmicks or anything corny. It was just the two of them coming back together to take out Vince. The stuff in the past couple years has been really lame definitely.
