No More TNA

It looks like the rebranding of TNA to Impact Wrestling may come sooner than later. Hulk Hogan wrote the following on his Twitter: "No TNA. only IMPACT. HH"

Looks like TNA is now just going to be known as Impact Wrestling from now on. Another one of Hogan's genius ideas I'm guessing.

He's ditched the six sided ring, the knockouts division kind of sucks now, the X-Division is non-existent, and now they're not TNA anymore.

Could Hogan have honestly killed that company anymore than it is already? Let's be honest here.

Dixie's a moron if that is the case. Honestly, what does she know though? She doesn't know any better. How Jarrett isn't even saying a word about this and letting all this shit go on is unbelievable to me.

So instead of TNA presents IMPACT it will be IMPACT Wrestling presents IMPACT. Nearly a decade of branding was put into TNA and now they are changing it for a very generic name. TNA need to stop reacting to what WWE are doing, this is clearly a reaction to WWE removing the word wrestling from their broadcasts. TNA has completely lost it's identity since Bischoff and Hogan appeared. TNA isn't unique anymore and is just horrible these days.

Jarrett never says anything, which is why he sold the company to Dixie in the first place, TNAs problem isn't just Hogan or Bischoff, the company itself was destined to fail form the beginning. It was only founded so Jeff could have work somewhere since there was no chance of him getting back into the WWE.

Also, the entire brand was marketed as an alternative, which it wasn't. The same people who killed WCW were in charge of TNA from the onset, not just Hogan and Bischoff. They had Borash and Russo writing Blue shit from day one and the only thinig they had was The X-Division. I remember fondly the days of Triple X and AMW feuding, and the X-division showcasing off moves I haven't seen in the states. But it never was the big priority people seem to remember it as.

Anyways, TNA was never going to be anything more than Jarrett and Co. little sandbox to play in because they weren't going to be booked anywhere else besides small time indy outfits.

Is TNA really renaming itself Impact Wrestling or is that just what the Thursday show will be called?

I am still in disbelief that they would get rid of that name and then go for such a generic name. Impact Wrestling sounds like the name of an Indy show.

I'm under the impression it's the show that is being renamed, even though TNA Wrestling: Impact is alot better then TNA: Impact Wrestling, purely cosmetic. Hogan should've been more clear in his tweets.

The emphasis on the term Wrestling is solely because of WWE trying to run away from it. Although emphasizing wrestling in name alone isn't going to be succesful if you don't actually focus on the wrestling on the shows.

Think about the name of the main title as well, which would sound dumb as hell. "Impact World Heavyweight Championship"

It almost just has to be the name of the show that's changing you would think. But with the way this company does everything, who knows?

Hogan's tweet confuses me when he says no TNA only Impact. God if they actually change more than just the name of the show they are quite insane.

I remember years ago TNA used to be called TNA Wrestling so I don't know why they can't go back to that.

It would sound like a Japanese Wrestling Org, with that kind of company name. All capitals IMPACT! RESU.

Still think its the name of the TV show and not the company.

You might be right. The name of the actual show on the guide listing on my DVR has changed several times and hasn't gotten recorded as a result of it, so I wouldn't be surprised.
