It's Chase Owens. The Battle Royale win was meant to build him up for his G1 debut this year.
Exact quote from Meltzer on todays WOR: "They are trying to build Chase up, in fact, I probably shouldn't say this, but Chase is in the G1 and this is part of the build for him to be a credible guy in the G1 this year."

I just dont get it mostly but it's more to do with travel issues and Ibushi's health I'd guess anyway. It's just EVIL has pretty much only done comedy or challenged for the 6 man belts this year he did get the win over Ishii at the one summer struggle show I haven't watched yet and I heard that was good tho so at least they have him a big one before the title match to get back on track

Really enjoyed the tag team match, got to give it high rating. Although, if it had been a bit shorter, I think it would have earned an even higher rating. Crazy to think ZSJ and Taichi have now held the same amount of titles reigns as Gallows and Anderson did.

There match in 2017 G1 wasn't too bad, but if this BC club storyline is going to happen. I think EVIL winning the title, would put it on track.
