Last night saw the final WPC event of the 2020 season. As usual the WPC World Prediction Championship and Open the Prediction Gate Championships were on the line but, in the season finale, we also crowned our NJPW Divisional Champion for 2020 and saw a clear and decisive WPC GRAND CHAMPION 2020 established.Lets head on to the results of the show.
First of all Doom was defending his newly won Open the Prediction Gate Championship against HoHo, Jimmy King and King Raidokken.
On the night Hoho managed a 4-4 record which meant that, for the first time in a long time, we saw the champion tie with a challenger for the most points in the match. Both Doom and Jimmy King went 5-3 and, as we all know, in the event of the Champion tieing with a challenger the Champions advantage states that the title stays with the Champion.
Therefore still the Open the Prediction Gate Champion as the result of a draw, Doom!
In the nights main event, the World Prediction Championship was on the line as the now two time Champ, Chris, defended the title against the OTPG Champion Doom.
Unbelievable Chris also went 5-3 which was enough for him to retain his title and, for the first time ever, meant that both champions retained by way of a draw.
In the All Comers invitational Blaze and Lethal Banks topped the performances with 7-1 records with Jimmy Kings 5-3 record enough to see him taking the final challengers birth for the first event of 2021.
So, onto more unusual business. As the final event of the 2020 season this was also the final New Japan event of the season, which means a NJPW Divisional Champion has been crowned.
Please all offer your congratulations to.
