Ahh they just showed the results. Callum Newman beat Yoshi Hashi (good) and Boltin beat Taichi (bad) to qualify for the G1

But nice they went with two young prospects

I'm not as upset with no Taichi just bc he seems kinda banged up. I like Boltin but I just think the tournament might kill him lol his matches are gonna have to be kept short

The last time Tanahashi wasn't in the G1 there hadn't even been a 9/11

they kind of have no choice to move on from the old guys/ that whole class of guys are starting to look really shit (naito *cough* tana ). add okada and os leaving and yeah, they kind of have to take the hits now to establish the new gen , they cant fuck around anymore

They waited too long for them yeah so it feels like they're scrambling to not make that mistake with current young lions like Boltin who didn't have an excursion before the G1 entry or Oiwa who just went to Noah and is wrestling high quality matches there and I assume will be back in NJPW a lot sooner than a regular excursion

Fujita as well never left, he just joined TMDK and started touring the world with them instead and he's great

It's been a long time coming. It would have been a lot better if the Sho reign didn't happen and Douki won BOSJ to challenge Despy instead but what can we do, it's Gedo

That Callum win was nice I'm excited for him in G1 even though he's probably losing every match but one lol

Well that Boltin/Taichi match was way too long and does not give me as much hope for him in the G1
