I'm not certain on DQs, they might have their own rules but count outs are fair game as far as I know in NJPW and stardom o I assume the rest of Japan

I remember the NWA belt did and I remember when abyss actually won the belt that way lol

Mexico just doesn't really do count outs so doesn't apply there lol

I think a title changing hands on a countdown makes more sense than the qualifications anyway because if you failed to get in the ring, it’s not really any different than being pinned.

But with the qualifications, that’s really a referee discretion type of thing so you really shouldn’t change belts that way.

Yeah DQs have a lot more room for cheesing too like someone hitting you so you get the DQ win

Plus, Japan has that 20 count so if you can’t get in the ring after a 20 count, you deserve to lose your belt.
