Well no shit but your sayimg best in over a decade and the top end is no where near okada/naito/tana/ibushi/omega that it has been before. So it feels hyperbolic to me to make sucj a statement , hence i asked why. Im glad u like it tho!

Ill say that overall field is very strong. Its just lacking intrigue and special appearances. As i said, it wouldnt be as glaring if bosj didnt have a bunch of outside talent and we werent having a cross over aew event that already has ppl salivating for some of those matchups. I dont think itll be a bad tourny n the quality of matches will ofc b great. I just wanted more

I'll say that this year's G1 looks pretty fair, but it is quite the same as others previously. You have your big names like Naito, Okada, White, and Tanahashi mixed with fan favorites like Goto, Ishii, and more. I wished they would have added a couple more of exchange talents like Titan or even some more people from AEW besides Lance Archer. I think, and kind of hoping, that Kota comes out and challenges the winner of the G1 for the contract.

Yeah the Cast itself doesn't blow me away at all it doesn't mean though we don't get some damn good bouts. The Best of the Super Juniors had one of the best Tourneys I've watched as a New Japan so I have a faith that momentum stays with the G1 Climax. ELP in there for the first time congrats, but no Hiromu dude will never be considered a heavyweight and no Despy. Desperado by himself is a better Wrestler than a good majority of these guys but hey let's Pigeon hole these guys and keep them in the Junior Division forever.

The problem with El Desperado and Hiromu is they are Heavyweight, but they wrestle like a Junior so they will always be a Junior. That is why I would like to see New Japan adopt the thinking of CMLL or AAA, where your style doesn't define you as much and instead your weight does. There are several Luchadores that are Middleweights and Heavyweights that wrestle move like Juniors than some that would be consider Juniors.

B block is weaaaaak Other 3 blocks are great tho. Block A ridiculously stacked.

This year, one of the biggest tournaments in all of wrestling is getting a twist. 4 Blocks of 7.

We got A Block being the block of BEEF and Okada, Yano, and Lawler for variety.

B block had Champ Jay White with a mix of some old rivals and an interesting choices for some good matches.

C Block has 3 former IWGP Champions, and some of the best to have never been champion.

D Block is what I call the "Juice and his enemies" with his former partner, the man holding the title he had to vacate, then other guys who could be viable US Title contenders.
