Really they put Khan vs Sabre JR in the Main Event who cares about Khan like seriously? They should of had this one earlier and put ELP vs Drilla as the Main Event.

Man has the Weekend come and gone. I hope this Sunday Show was better than Saturday and it must because Taichi is Wrestling in this one and every one of his Matches have been excellent.

Yeah I didn't like that result for Oleg vs Newman. No one really going for Oleg they could of set up a proper program between the two but whatever Oleg is holding onto the Never Title till they find a way to give it someone else.

Sabre JR moves on and will face the winner of Finlay and Takeshita. The other Playoff is Tsuji vs Umino and they will face EVIL. Shota just might have a shot to beat Tsuji and EVIL but New Japan has already pissed me off with Taichi not making it they'll love to do it again having Shota and Takeshita not make the Finals.

I made the informed choice not to watch the G-1 this year having a strong feeling some fuck shit was going to happen, and here we are. I decided to watch the playoffs for the G-1 and even that now feels like a waste of my time. I just really don't understand the decision on not having one of the new musketeers in the finals for the G-1. Hell I'd have taken Narita over Evil if we want to go the HOT route.
I just really fail to understand the main event push for EVIL, he's just not that guy. If Gedo really wanted a super heel so bad, then he should've committed to Evil being the big bad of NJPW 5 years ago during his initial turn and when NJPW was far more stable and put together than it currently is.
Now don't get me wrong, I love Take, so hey I hope he pulls this shit off, but I've got zero faith on that happening and even that just doesn't feel like the right decision. We have a heel vs. heel main event for the G-1, I couldn't even begin to understand how we got here.

Yeah the same stuff has been going on for the past few Years and gets to a point you're yelling into the Woods and no one is listening. I've always had a problem with the G1 especially latey not understanding why book this decision this way or that way but this might take the Cake. EVIL should never make the Finals of the G1 Climax he's no where near the best talents New Japan has right now but here we are. Takeshita had better win and prep yourself with a whole bunch of House of Torture bs that Takeshita will overcome to win.

Obv series is 1-1 so you can do the rubber match, but I feel that is super out of NJPW character to have the WK main event a match that has happened multiple times in the previous year. God I hope that doesn't happen with EVIL winning. I just might stop watching till Wrestle Kingdom and probably only watch a few Matches of theirs if they go that way.

Puro is in such a terrible flux at this point that it just saddens me as I try to get back into it every like 3 months or so.

I absolutely love Takeshita in AEW and do not want to see him go permanently, but I genuinely believe he could be THE guy to bring Puro out of the dark ages it's currently in if he was able to be in Japan full-time. The incessant refusal to not just crown a younger talent, but actually allow for a lengthy reign as champion is just ridiculous across the board. See Kaito Kiyomiya, see any of the Reiwa, see Yuma Anzai, see Ozawa (not the biggest fan of 2000X but it was at least different). Like Kento Miyahara, Suwama, Nakajima, Okada, Shinsuke, Tanahashi, Marufuji, Shiozaki, Sugiura, Morishima all devoured the veterans and took the reigns into the turn of the 2010s which was the biggest boom period of Japanese wrestling since the 90s. I like genuinely can't wrap my head around not trusting in the youth. After Shota's match with Ospreay, I thought that kid was going to be a f'ing star..... now here we are, jesus christ

Like peak 2013 NJPW as they usher into the Okada golden era, imagine you got a Makabe vs. Marufuji G-1 final (on the outsider tip w Take). Completely taking the wind out of the sails of your promotion, and it's ironic because the best thing NJPW has done in the past 3-4 years is crowned Goto finally and they managed to fucking botch that too. Sorry im just ANGRYYY
