Tanahashi & ZSJ rematch headlines huge matches signed for Destruction in Beppu!
The full card has been determined for Destruction in Beppu on Sunday September 15, with a huge British Heavyweight Championship match in the main event!
In the main event, Hiroshi Tanahashi faces Zack Sabre Junior for the British Heavyweight Championship. Tanahashi and ZSJ have been at loggerheads throughout the whole year, this marking their fifth singles encounter in 2019. While Sabre could claim an early edge in their rivalry, and took great pride in putting Tanahashi on the shelf in April at Madison Square Garden, this year has seen the Ace with the upper hand, having defeated Sabre in the New Japan Cup, and in the G1 Climax. Then in London on August 31, an emphatic High Fly Flow saw Tanahashi lift the British Heavyweight Championship for the first time in his career. ZSJ has been granted a huge opportunity to right perceived wrongs here, and will be desperate to regain his title, but the Ace has shown his prior victories were no fluke, and may be looking to put Sabre in his rear view mirror.
In the semi-main event, a special tag team match will see YOSHI-HASHI and Tomohiro Ishii team up to take on the IWGP Tag Team Champions, the Guerrillas of Destiny. GoD have been dominant at the top of the tag ranks, and in their quest for fresh blood to challenge them, came up against Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher, Aussie Open in London at Royal Quest. Aussie Open came up short, but one had to give the assist points to Jado and his kendo stick, which came into play at several points during the match.
Now Ishii and YOSHI-HASHI step up. Ishii will be walking into Beppu furious with GoD, who got heavily involved in his NEVER Openweight Championship match at Royal Quest. He has a score to settle with both Loa and Tonga, and has recruited YOSHI-HASHI to help him settle it. YOSHI-HASHI for his part was strong in preliminary matches during the G1 Climax tour, and will be looking to make a competitive statement going into the autumn.
In other matches, EVIL and Tetsuya Naito will take on Jay White and Chase Owens, as Naito and White are on a collision course for Kobe on September 22. The other three members of Los Ingobernables De Japon will be in six man action against Rocky Romero, Hirooki Goto and SANADA; SANADA has sights set on Okada at King of Pro Wrestling in October, while Goto and Takagi will have a G1 rematch at Kobe on September 22.
A ten man tag sees Robbie Eagles and Will Ospreay, the Birds of Prey, combine with Tomoaki Honma, Togi Makabe and Kota Ibushi against El Phantasmo, Taiji Ishimori, Yujiro Takahashi, Bad Luck Fale and KENTA. Two exciting junior tag teams will be part of that bout, and the junior tag division continues to look strong in the fourth match of the night, Roppongi 3K teaming with Jyushin Thunder Liger against DOUKI, Yoshinobu Kanemaru and Minoru Suzuki. DOUKI and Kanemaru could be looking to forge new connections, and could Liger and Suzuki’s ongoing issues rise to the fore again?
The night will start with two Young Lion Cup bouts, as Yota Tsuji takes on Karl Fredericks and Shota Umino faces Alex Coughlin. Then the remaining Young Lions will be in tag action as Yuya Uemura and Ren Narita team with Ryusuke Taguchi and Yuji Nagata to face Michael Richards and Clark Connors, who will team up with Toa Henare and Manabu Nakanishi.

Kota Ibushi vs KENTA headlines huge Destruction in Kagoshima card!
The full card has been announced for Destruction in Kagoshima on Monday, September 16, with Kota Ibushi in the main event before his home town crowd taking on KENTA.
Earlier in August, Kota Ibushi scored the biggest victory of his career when he defeated Jay White to lift the G1 Climax trophy. Ibushi would declare big plans for the future, potentially even wrestling title matches on back to back nights in the Tokyo Dome. Before he gets too far ahead of himself however, Ibushi must defend his Right to Challenge Contract against those who defeated him in the tournament, avenging his losses on the way. No bigger vengeance is needed than against KENTA.
At the start of Ibushi’s G1 campaign in Dallas on July 6, KENTA not only defeated Ibushi in emphatic form, but caused Ibushi an ankle injury that nearly cost the Golden Star his tournament. Ibushi is now doubly eager to take on KENTA and get his win back, especially as the G1 Climax winner returns to his home town of Kagoshima. In front of friends and family, Ibushi will look to take a huge step toward the Tokyo Dome. For KENTA meanwhile, his newfound BULLET CLUB allegiance paid off in London, when Guerrillas of Destiny played a huge role in his victory over Tomohiro Ishii. The new NEVER Openweight Champion could set himself up for even greater glory at Wrestle Kingdom
The semi main event sees the new tag team of Robbie Eagles and Will Ospreay take on Taiji Ishimori and El Phantasmo for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships. At Royal Quest, the Birds of Prey were glorious in victory, hitting the Red Wing to defeat Phantasmo and Ishimori in non-title action and secure this championship opportunity. ELP continues to have long standing issues with both Ospreay and Eagles, and personal grudges may well play equally as big a role as teamwork in this championship clash.
Elsewhere on the card, Los Ingobernables De Japon members look forward to respective singles bouts in a pair of tag team encounters. Tetsuya Naito, who faces the challenge of Jay White on September 22, teams with EVIL in Kagoshima against White and Yujiro Takahashi. Shingo Takagi and SANADA will face Kazuchika Okada and Hirooki Goto in the near future, and will be joined by BUSHI and Rocky Romero to round out their trios.
Jyushin Thunder Liger and Minoru Suzuki have been at one another’s throats since Liger’s 30th anniversary back in April, and this issue seems to continue to boil throughout the Destruction tour. Both will lead a four man team to the ring, as Suzuki-Gun will also comprise DOUKI, Yoshinobu Kanemaru and Zack Sabre Junior and Liger will be joined by Tomoaki Honma, Togi Makabe and Hiroshi Tanahashi. How will Tanahashi and ZSJ interact the day after their British Heavyweight Championship match in Beppu?
Also in Beppu, YOSHI-HASHI and Tomohiro Ishii will take on the Guerrillas of Destiny. The next night, the two teams will be in eight man action, Ishii and YOSHI-HASHI joined by SHO and YOH, while GoD recruit Chase Owens and Bad Luck Fale.
The Young Lion Cup will continue in Kagoshima as well, with Ren Narita versus Michael Richards and Yuya Uemura versus Clark Connors. Then the remaining Young Lions will be in tag action as Yota Tsuji, Shota Umino, Yuji Nagata and Ryusuke Taguchi battle Alex Coughlin, Karl Fredericks, Toa Henare and Manabu Nakanishi.

Full Lineup for Destruction in Kobe! Goto and Shingo to collide!
The full lineup has been finalised for Destruction in Kobe on Sunday September 22, with Hirooki Goto and Shingo Takagi in a huge singles contest underneath Jay White versus Tetsuya Naito in the main event.
The main event has already been determined, as Jay White challenges Tetsuya Naito for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship. White defeated Tetsuya Naito to eliminate him from the G1 Climax last month, but it was Naito sitting back after proving his superiority in London at Royal Quest. How will their title match play out?
In the semi-main event, Hirooki Goto takes on Shingo Takagi. Takagi and Goto has an all out war to close their respective G1 Climax campaigns in the Budokan. Ever since, both have been eager for a rematch, and get their wishes granted in Kobe.
Kazuchika Okada and SANADA are on a collision course for Ryogoku Sumo Hall and King of Pro Wrestling on October 14. In Kobe, Okada teams with SHO and YOH against SANADA with EVIL and BUSHI as a preview for that encounter.
Ten man tag team action will see Kota Ibushi team with Tomohiro Ishii, YOSHI-HASHI, Will Ospreay and Robbie Eagles against El Phantasmo, Taiji Ishimori, Tanga Loa, Tama Tonga and KENTA. A week removed from their IWGP Junior Tag Team Championship match, the Birds of Prey and ELP and Ishimori will be looking ahead to the Road to Power Struggle in October, and making their cases for entry into the Super Junior Tag League.
Rocky Romero, Tiger Mask, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Jyushin Thunder Liger will face DOUKI, Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Zack Sabre Junior and Minoru Suzuki. Junior heavyweight tag teams are all vying for competitive spots up and down the card, while Liger and Suzuki will continue to be in each other’s faces, and Tanahashi and ZSJ may still have personal issues stemming from their title match one week before.
Togi Makabe, Tomoaki Honma and Toa Henare will face Chase Owens, Yujiro Takahashi and Bad Luck Fale, and we will also see the culmination of the Young Lion Cup. The order of the second and third matches of the evening will be determined by league standings, but we do know that Yuya Uemura and Yota Tsuji will team with Yuji Nagata against Michael Richards, Alex Coughlin and Manabu Nakanishi in the opener, before Shota Umino takes on Karl Fredericks, and Ren Narita faces Clark Connors. Who will win the 12th Young Lion Cup?
