They said they were going to strip Karl if he didn't ahow up yesterday but didn't. In kayfabe it's bc Hikuleo wants to beat Karl and no one else for the belt but I assume something was worked out between the president saying he'd strip Karl if he no-showed and now

That makes sense. Part of me thinks Karl told him he’s contracted to do the WWE date and can’t get out of it, but they could work something out with Triple H for later.

Since Shinsuke is doing that Noah show, NJPW must have believed that was possible and agreed, yeah.
