Nico Musoke vs. Amir Sadollah is first fight for UFC Fight Night 53 in Stockholm

The UFC’s return to Stockholm has its first fight, UFC officials today announced.

Welterweights Nico Musoke (12-3 MMA, 2-1 UFC) and Amir Sadollah (6-4 MMA, 6-4 UFC) have been announced as the first booking for UFC Fight Night 53.

The event takes place at Oct. 4 at Ericsson Globe in the Swedish capital. The event is expected to stream on UFC Fight Pass.

Musoke, who fights in his home country for the first time under the UFC banner, recently was on a seven-fight winning streak, which included decision wins over Alessio Sakara and Viscardi Andrade in his first two UFC bouts. However, in his most recent performance, the 28-year-old suffered a decision defeat to Kelvin Gastelum at UFC Fight Night 44.

He now meets Sadollah, who fights for the first time in more than two years due to injuries. Most recently, the 33-year-old winner of “The Ultimate Fighter 7″ suffered a decision defeat to Dan Hardy at UFC on FUEL TV 5, which spoiled a 3-1 run.

Additional UFC Fight Night 53 bouts will be announced in the coming weeks.

Oh wow, Amir back in action for the first time in 2 years.

Best of luck to him, I've always enjoyed watching him fight.

Nico is a real challenge though. He looked good against Kelvin in defeat and looked great submitting Sakara, so I think it's gonna be a tough fight back to Amir.
