I'm not a fan. We didn't give up much for him, but I just as soon ride it out with Pryor. We know Flynn won't ever be anything special.

Yeah, Pryor can do some things. I'm still salty Troy Smith never got a real look. Hopefully pryor gets a shot sometime this year.

Pryor's upside is so much more than most people care to give him credit for. As an athlete, he is basically Cam Newton. 6'6 240, same type of build, only he is faster (4.6 cam vs 4.4 Pryor)

Fact is, TP ran a somewhat pro-style offense at OSU and threw for nearly 60% completions. He has a strong arm, and his accuracy has improved a lot since he joined the Raiders. If we would just admit he is the best QB on the team and build the offense around his athletic ability (similar to Carolina and Cam or Washington/RG3) it would be our best bet.

Some indications out of camp say TP is the best QB there. I haven't been there, but its not surprising. I think TP has a puncher's chance to win the job for week 1, but he will definitely get a chance at some point in the season, because we aren't going to be winning more than 6 or 7 games.

He's also just really young. Last year should have been his rookie year, but he needed some tats down in columbus. I had the luxury of watching him, and the only knock against him is his throwing motion. It's pretty ugly.

Yea, and he has lame footwork in the pocket. That's why it would be best to build the offense around the run game and his ability to roll out of the pocket and either break contain and run or at least have his feet moving so he doesn't have to worry so much about mechanics. Like the ATL offense back when they had vick/warrick dunn/TJ duckett
