Gotta go with Danny on this one. I never gave him credit in SF due to the fact I attributed his success to the team he had around him. Watching him this year has changed my opinion though. Dude knows how to win, it doesn't have to be pretty, as long as he gets the job done.

Yup, worst team in the nfl to 7-0. The defense and coach get a lot of credit but QB play is also a factor.

Just watched shortcuts for week 7 with the chiefs. He is a lot faster than I thought too. He gets out of trouble pretty often, and is extremely accurate. Don't see him stretch the field much though.

He seems to favour high percentage plays, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that. He's definitely not flashy, but as I said before, gets the job done more often than not.

Agreed, I can appreciate smart play watching Eli with 15 ints. Begs the question, how many wins might the giants have if they hadn't had so many turnovers. Oh well, happy for Alex. He handled what happened in SF last year like a man.

The defence for the giants hasn't been anything to write home about either though.

As far as pressuring the qb, I agree, but they are pretty amazing against the run.
Adrian Peterson 13 carries 28 yards
Matt Forte 19 carries 67 yards
Lesean Mccoy 20 carries 46 yards
Jamal Charles 18 carries 65 yards

Give a team 20 extra times to score, it's going to make your defense look like trash. The pass defense is pretty suspect, i'll agree with that.

do you watch him play? He is trash

He's exactly what you said, Trent Dilfer. Protects the ball, lets the defense and running game win games for him. Great for regular season, will you win an SB with him? No.

But last I checked you could still get 20-1 odds on Indy winning the big game. If I could bet like five bucks on that to win 100 I would in a heartbeat.

here is all I know how to judge a QB on.

would I want him as my QB? if I ran a team would I want Smith on my roster starting? the answer is absolutely no, I want nothing to do with him.

It really depends what you want as a fan. We see a weak-armed checkdown artist who could be exposed in the playoffs, but if you're a fan who just wants to make it to the show you'll definitely be happy with that. Think both of us are from the school of "if you don't have a guy with elite potential, go pick up Brady Quinn and tank the season to get one"

Speaking of this, the Josh Freeman debate: Not really buying him being as bad as Monday night. Would still take Tannehill and Flacco over him, but will give you Foles and Schaub for sure. Locker I'm still unsure on.
