Regardless of the fact that Chicago is pure ass, gohan is wrong. I just don't know how to convince him of that.

If by some miracle the Bears win out and the Giants lost week 17 to Philly I think Chicago may get by based on Divisional record.

Bears would be 10-6
Giants would be 10-6 (Skins as well, they win the division by way of a better conference record)

Bears conf. record would be 7-5, as would the Bears

Bears divisional record would be 3-3, the Giants 2-4

So yes, IF the Giants lose to Philly and Chicago+Washington win their last two games, the Giants miss out on the postseason fun.

edit: Dammit, just realized we were talking about the Giants winning both games. Pretty certain they are good to go if they win out.

It must be a lonesome feeling to be a bears fan. That great start combined with the Packers shaky start ( Replacement ref blunder) and my oh my have the tables have turned.

The Raiders have been pretty awful at drafting for awhile now. Mcfadden sure was a good pick but he's injured almost every year and has never reached his full potential. They took DHB too early and missed out on several other solid wideouts. I know Hakeem Nicks is one but there were others as well. Jamarcus Russel? Purple Drank.... enough said. They actually had a diamond in the rough at one time that never got a fair shot. Troy Smith, he is similar to russel wilson but with more athletic ability but he got on the bad side of the coaching staff. They get the bad publicity for some reason about their fans, which I think is bogus. Those fans are fucking nuts and perfect. It's been awhile since they've been good and they're run was cut short because of the hit on Rich Gannon. Then you had the trader of a coach leave Oakland, go to Tampa Bay, and win a ring. Yeah, i'd say it doesn't get much worse for a fan than that. I feel bad for you, but the potential is there to improve IMO.

A couple of things. 1.) We traded Jon Gruden lol. Al Davis traded him for multiple picks, including two firsts. That was a boss ass move, the NFL made a rule shortly after that you can't trade coaches lmao

2.) We have been 'OK' at drafting. Davis missed on some high picks like McClain (shit head) and Russell (just a bad spot for Oakland. Any team would have taken him over Quinn that year). But for all the bad picks up front we've had a lot of good picks in the subsequent rounds.

3.) We have Terrell Pryor, never had Troy Smith. wrong tOSU QB.

Also I was at the game where Rich Gannon had his career ended. Not sure that's what ended our run though tbh. We weren't going to win the division that year anyhow.. and a lot of fans were calling for Kerry Collins even before Gannon went down.

That's my bad. No idea why I thought Terrell Pryor was Troy Smith. Some other moves were questionable. The move for Palmer was pretty bad. They could really use those picks now. Any chance gets a crack at the Starting job with the season all but over?

Update. Giants laid another egg, and i'm a little surprised/sick. This is not the same team as last year. Tuck has been garbage, webster is a bum, Osi got paid and quit. Unless the Pack beat the vikings and Lions beat the bears and giants win, the title defense is over.

The Palmer/Aaron Curry moves weren't made by a qualified GM. They were made by Hue Jackson when Al Davis had passed the week before.

And no, this regime doesn't like Pryor. Pryor was an Al Davis pick, and Reggie McKenzie doesn't like any of his players. I doubt Palmer is back for next season. Pryor might still be as a backup.

This front office just wants a clean slate in every area.

edit: Palmer was hurt today and we chose to let Matt fucking Leinart play for 3 quarters instead of giving Pryor a chance to play. Tells me that what I've suspected all along was dead on.

They let pryor come in for a few plays but that's it. Matt Leinart doesn't even throw with the right hand.
