Ask Monkeystyle... (so totally ripped this off from Montana)

Yeah, like the title says, I totally am ripping off this idea, the only difference being if you ask me a question about wrestling I won't answer you.

So ask anything else. Just not wrestling.

What do you think about a patient having myocardial infarction and his doctor told him, either you do a stress Myoview scan, or go straight for a CABG operation? what do you think is the best for him if he is only 45 years old and got a history of atypical chest pain and has allergic reaction towards aspirin and hiparin?

Alright.

*cracks knuckles*

This totally isn't my field at all, but...

So buddy had a heart attack, and he's allergic to aspirin, which really sucks because its a cheap, easy, and relatively effective manner in with which to prevent future heart attacks.

And now he has to choose between bypass surgery or radiation...

Personally, and I may have this all wrong, but I think I'd suggest the radiation because it is considerably less invasive than the bypass surgery.

The only problem with that, is that it may still end up with him getting the bypass surgery.

I'd still go radiation first.

Good choice dude, but just for your info, Myoview is not a radiotherapy, its a nuclear medicine scan to diagnose the myocardial muscular function. This is the latest stage before surgery.
So If he choses to take the scan, he will delay the surgery, but it might be helpful to give an alternative treatment rather than the operation. So time factor here is the issue.

Radiotherapy, we actually use Cr-81 isotope, and another more common one is the I-131 which is a Beta emitter to kill any reminant active (tumour) tissues for tumour cases. But for heart, he shouldnt be treated by radiation, as it will decrease the ejection fraction of the left ventricle of his heart.

So this is the issue im talking about, waste time to do scan, or just take the big risk of surgery rather than waiting for maybe the scan reveals a better treatment due to the final diagnosing of the case?

Uhhhh....

What?

I suck at math.

But if I remember my chem correctly I can probably identify the elements and that'll be good enough for me.

Fe(Iron) + MnO4(Manganese Oxide???)

Fe(Iron) + Mn(Manganese)

Beyond that I can't do any more, but I'm pretty sure I nailed the elemts.

All without a periodic table too baby.

So this is the issue im talking about, waste time to do scan, or just take the big risk of surgery rather than waiting for maybe the scan reveals a better treatment due to the final diagnosing of the case?

In reality any suggestion you give is going to be slanted by personal bias no matter how hard you try.

Ultimately its up to the patient, but I'd still suggest with the nuclear test first.

Bypass surgery is not fun, and I would personally prefer to not reccomend that to my patient unless absolutely necessary.

That is so easy

First: left side make 2Fe3
Second: right side: make 3Fe2
Third: 2MnO4
Fourth: O8 on the left side

Who's the knowledgeable one now, Mr. Monkeystyle

BTW: I'm messing with you

Chemistry is not my strong suit. Never has been.

Also, you try remembering that shit after not touching it for years :D

Yes, because sound is not anything like time, which is what I think of when this question is asked.

The theory behind this statement is that sounds are relative and do not occur unless they are heard.

Case in point. If someone blows one of those high pitched dog whistles around you it makes no sound to your ears but the sound is still there even though there is no canine to hear said sound.

So yes, it makes a sound.

Why do kids love the taste of Cinnamon Toast Crunch?

Because its like an instant sugar high.

Would you consider wearing silk in winter better than wearing wool in summer?!
