Re: NFL 2012/13 Postseason Thread

Yeah Huff has been forgotten a bit. I'm hoping he's one of those players that has a career resurgence now that he plays on a good team.

As for T'eo, it's not completely out of the question that Baltimore could get him. They're going to want to hang on to all the draft picks they have and they'll take whatever is available at pick 32. I really doubt anyone else besides Baltimore is in such dire need of a MLB that they'll put up with the circus that comes with drafting him first overall.

Re: NFL 2012/13 Postseason Thread

Very easy to get forgotten in the black hole (pun intended) that is the Raiders. Can see him quietly having a great year in Baltimore.

Apparently a decent amount of teams don't even view T'eo as a 1st round pick so everyday it is looking more and more likely he could drop to Baltimore without them having to trade up to get him. I don't mind Baltimore taking the risk for the possible high reward even if he'll probably get a mild version of Tebo like coverage this year.

There's no possibly about it. He will. And I can't wait until he misses a tackle and some commentator says something along the lines of "T'eo apparently tried to tackle his girlfriend just now..." and it causes a huge shit storm.

At least Osi can replace Abraham, but I'm not sure he's much of an upgrade if any. Both guys are declining players.

Re: NFL 2012/13 Postseason Thread

I've never liked Osi, but he's a proven pass rusher. With guys like Avril and Bennett gone from free agency, it was either Osi or Freeney that had to be signed. It's only about 4 to 5 million a year too so he's not that overpaid. I do think it's a small upgrade, but this isn't anything to go :YES!: about. Falcons needed a proven pass rusher with Abraham gone and they got one. Can't really complain, just hope he's actually motivated something that he wasn't for the Giants last year.

Re: NFL 2012/13 Postseason Thread

Osi hasn't been a great pass rusher since like 07-08. Tuck and Pierre Paul ran him out of NY when they stepped up after Osi kept getting injured. I wasn't a huge fan of Abraham either but at least he could stay healthy.

Osi Umenyiora Stats - ESPN

Osi has played all 16 games since 2007 except 2011. Tuck has been garbage last two seasons, although he's a great run defender. Injuries have hurt him, but still for a guy who gets a lot of hype he's not lived up to it lately.. He's had 9 combined sacks in last two seasons, he didn't run him out of town at all. Osi was just unhappy about his contract and the Giants didn't want to pay him. Like I said not a huge fan of Osi but the guy is proven to be a great pass rusher. Nobody can deny his value, look at the stats. Last year his numbers were low because the Giants couldn't cover anyone. I got faith in Osi, although he's garbage against the run. If he can get 8 sacks and stay healthy, I love this move. But yeah injury prone and Tuck running him out of town, c'mon now.

Re: NFL 2012/13 Postseason Thread

So Dallas signs Romo to a 6 year 108 million dollar extension with 55 million guaranteed. Imo a dumb contract to give a 33 year old QB who has only one playoff win and they'll probably be regretting it by the time he is 35-36.

They should cut ties with Tony Romo a long time ago. At least this means that the Cowboys won't win anything this season.

Re: NFL 2012/13 Postseason Thread

So if Romo is still a Cowboy in 2017, he'll be eating up what? Like over 20 million of cap space that we can't get rid of?

Goodbye, Ware.
Goodbye, Claiborne.
Goodbye, Dez.
Goodbye, Lee.

DEAD.

They should trade him to the Browns.
