Well if you're going to trade a player like that getting a first round pick is very ideal and can turn into a great player for all we know. Plus it saves them a lot of money since they were going to have to franchise Harvin just to keep him another year past this one which would eat cap space. Seattle though is looking real good and can challenge for that division title against San Fran.

Yeah hadn't thought about the money issue of keeping Harvin..... they just better go out and get Jennings and another good reciever, I actually kind of like Christian Ponder but if he's got nobody to throw to they're in real trouble no matter how good AP is

Honestly, I'm pretty on-board with that trade. It'll be interesting to see who the Vikings draft to replace the absence of Harvin now, but Harvin is a fucking game-breaker. Seattle needs a deep threat to stretch the field and I'm sure Wilson is a happy camper right now. I'd love to have a receiver like Harvin on my team.

Boldin to the 49ers for a 6 round pick. NFC West is going to wreck this year.

man, wonder where the Ravens go to replace Boldin.... do they make a run at Jennings or someone a level below and hope Torrey Smith takes another step forward next year..

Guess I should have figured Boldin was bsing about the I will retire if I'm not a Raven stuff. When it came time to test that theory and take a pay cut he backed off so he was good as gone.

If they weren't going to pay a productive receiver a high-but-not-that-high salary, they sure as hell shouldn't be going out and paying anybody huge money, which is what the top FAs will want. They'll find a decent slot guy in the FA market and probably draft another burner Flacco can throw his 40 yard DPIs to.

Replace an old receiver with an even older receiver that got released by the Seahawks in the pre-season? Good thing Ozzie Newsome is a smart GM for Baltimore.
