-- As expected, WWE.com has confirmed that the next edition of Saturday Night's Main Event will be taped before Monday Night Raw on July 28th at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C (which I'll be attending from the second row). The show is scheduled to air the following Saturday on NBC at 9 p.m. Thanks to Devin Cutting for passing on the note.

-- Tonight's inaugural Florida Championship Wrestling television taping sold out within 30 minutes after tickets went on sale at 4:00 p.m. Fans were lining up as early as 7:00 A.M. to get in, and it was raining all day too. A number of fans were turned away from the event as the building only holds 235 fans. Additionally, in a change from earlier plans, they actually plan on taping television each and every Thursday, instead of every other Thursday. Batista, Matt & Jeff Hardy, and Maria are scheduled to appear at next week's show. Even though they have the shows in place, they don't appear to have an actual television deal yet as nothing has been announced. The FCW show is expected to air on Tampa's CW affiliate, but we haven't heard anything new on that.

Nice, I'm happy that Saturday Night's main event is back and I'm surprised at how popular FCW has gotten. Hopefully they get the TV deal with Tampa Bay's CW

Thoughts?

Ugghh, the past SNME have been lame. The first one back was ok, but since then they have been a trainwreck.

^ I actually really enjoyed the first one. Shawn Michaels vs Shane Mcmahon was awesome, and overall that show was great. I agree that the rest of them have been lame but I'm happy that they are bringing it back because WWE has been pretty good lately and maybe they can put on a good SNME much like the first one

The last one took the piss out of the industry really didn't it - shot themselves in the foot. What was it - Khali was the 'biggest' Kane was the 'scariest' and Hornswoggle was the 'smallest'. What a pile of crap that one was. First one back was great though, admittedly. Interesting to see that they are really going to try and push FCW - hopefully get developmental talent a little more ready for prime time tv in good time for their respective call ups

SNME was the shit back in the day, so hopefully they make good of it.

Anyone know if the 'resurected' version from last year was broadcast in the UK?
