Noooooo dont de push Ryback he has potential to be the guy for the company there not giving him a chance. Also its obviously backstage politics coming into play here
2 things:
1) Backstage politics? Oh, obviously......
2) How have they not given him a chance? He has not shined in his main event appearances. I hear your response: "He was booked to lose." That's true, but Punk was booked to lose against Undertaker and Lesnar and still shined as a guy who took everything they dished out and took them to the limit before going down in defeat. He's done the same thing in every feud he's had in the WWE on which he's come out on the losing side. Booking has been a problem with Ryback, but it's not because he hasn't been given opportunities to shine. It's because they rushed him into the main event scene too quickly and didn't back him down any of the time when it would have made sense to. He should have been wrestling for the IC or US Titles after Mania, not against Cena for the WWE Title.
I've defended Ryback on here before. When people have called him unsafe or unable to do the job, I've said they were wrong and I stand behind that. Ryback's never been the best "worker", but he's far from bad or unsafe. He works stiff, which is forgivable if you're capable in other areas. The problem with Ryback is that, according to this report, he hasn't pushed himself to get better in those other ways and, apparently, his ring work, which was never the best to begin with, has gone in the wrong direction.
If he can't get it together, he won't be in WWE anymore. Luckily for him (and you, blffl) is that TNA will no doubt sign him to appear on Impact exactly 3 months after his release, whether that's a good idea or not.
