WWE has signed Australian talent Matt Silva to a developmental deal. He will finish up with Melbourne City Wrestling on 4/13 before heading to Tampa, Florida.

Good to see another Australian signed by WWE. Have no idea what he is like but Andrew might have seen him wrestle before. Not sure if these are correct stats but this is what I found on one of the Australian wrestling companies websites for him Age-20 Height-5'10 Weight-105kg

Have seen him wrestle for the past three years. In fact the very first local show I attended he had what is to this day my all time favorite match.

He is a freakish athlete and a hell of a wrestler.

Here's a match of his; Roger's the much more tanner guy.

Thanks for the info and the video Andrew.

For what it was that was a good match. I like that he actually sells and his roll through bridging german suplex was great. First of all hopefully he makes it to developmental and then hopefully he can make it further than Sonny Elliot.

He will easily surpass Sonny Elliot. He's a nobody in Australia where Silva is very well known in Australia and appears in top-shows in New South Wales & South Australia respectively.

I believe he will do very well.

Yeah I noticed that Silva had been working for Riot City Wrestling in Adelaide as well as the Melbourne promotions. Was Sonny Elliot the one that Lance Storm trained? If so I think that was the only reason I had heard of him when he signed.

he's got a decent look, a little hard to judge size when the ref is a 12 year old asian boy, like how quick he moves in the ring.... there's potential there, we'll see what comes of it

The ref is one of Australia's best referee and has refereed in Japan in the past.

His name is Edwin and he's like 22, he's very small but he's a great referee haha.

Looks ok, still falls under the FCW CAW group of signings, only with an accent.

Ugh, billed as 5' 10" so probably another vanilla midget.

At least he's stocky I guess.

Yeah, cause everyone has to be over 6'5'' to get your attention. I'm really starting to believe that big guys get you off or something.

The guy looks good, but thats about all right now. Lets see what he can do in NXT and FCW. Past shows that most foreign stars don't reach superstardom anymore, with the exception of Sheamus.

If he's 1/10 entertaining as Emma he'll be a good signing.

I didn't get to see too much of Tenille Tayla (Emma) here in Australia. There are a lot of Aussies in the USA/Canada/Mexico right now.

Kellie Skater who wrestles for SHIMMER is on the radar for WWE apparently so it wouldn't surprise me if there are a few Aussies heading into WWE or so.

Silva does have charisma and is very popular to watch in Australia, I will be attending to his last Australian match which will be a great match. There's an Aussie who recently got a contract with AAA.
