New PS3 Slim model

A new PS3 model was just announced at TGS! Smaller and lighter, it'll be available as part of a bundle with Uncharted 3 Game of the Year Edition September 25th. More info on the bundle here:

Seems extremely pointless, they should just focus on the ps4 now so I can waste another 4-600 bucks on something that didn't need to happen for another couple of years.

I would think they would try and focus on the practicality of the shape in that shape it has to be placed on top of other things but say I have something else thats a funky shape to seems like that would be annoying. I wish they'd just release the slim version at the onset too I mean do they really get that much more money during these slim releases?

Not that different but some people will still buy them. Of course it won't sell as well as the Xbox 360 slim that came out a year or so ago as that was a MAJOR upgrade over the big white console that had been out for years.

But yeah, with holiday season coming up, it will sell well.

I kept the fat PS2... still working to this day. Keeping my fat PS3. which is ironic since I'm Slim but I don't have any slim systems
