Man, stop sleeping on this track people, I guarantee this will be a hit. Its a great lyrical track, but its also easy to listen too, no matter the mood. Polow da don has been producing some ill beats lately.

This is quite awesome...Polow has been on fire with beats ever since he did "Throw some D's" All of Nas's songs own this is the same guy who did "Hip Hop is dead"

Ehh, Nas just isn't the same as the old Nas. Illmatic, It was written and I am are by far his top three albums. Since then he's put out average stuff. Good lyrics, but overall nothing to write home about. Stillmatic was good, but not better than his first three. Nastradumus, Gods Son, Lost Tapes, Hip Hop is dead, streets disciple are good listens, but to me he's lost a step.

As far as this track, its got a hot beat, good flow however i dont know how well its going to go over with mainstream radio. After a first listen the track is good, not great.

On a side note, i don't how he says Hip hop is dead, and now he's the hero to save it. I haven't listened to much off his new album yet, as i like to be surprised, and a few fake tracks normally get pre released, but there has been some good buzz about this project. But i certainly wouldn't call him the savior of hip hop right now. Maybe its just me, but right now TI is the king. Right now i dont think anyone album for album, track for track, verse for verse is up there with him, on a mainstream level.

meh, I disagree. Nas is, was, and always will be a monster. I mean, listen to the song. Dont let the fly beat fool you, Nas raps with a cause. His music has substance, which is why I like him. I get tired of hearing about how much money and women these rappers have, and if you listen to these other cats, thats exactly what you're going to get. Its cool for parties, but I like hearing music I can relate to, not "I got money, cars, cloths" feel me? Anybody can talk about a dance, or material things, but it takes brains to rap with a message, which is why if you ask me, Nas, Jay, Lupe, Common, ect. are ahead of all these rap cats, including T.I.

heres another brand new Nas track, Black President (dope)

i agree with you about getting tired of listening to rap like that, it makes me sick. on the other hand even though nas's songs are sick they might not attract many people because there are alot of people who like the money, cars, etc. I also disagree on TI, i used to like him and all, but i guess its just me and dont feel him. I like that black president.

I like certain types of rap for certain situations. If i at the club, i dont want to hear Nas rapping about heros. If im chillin at my house or something, yeah. I do agree about rapping about money/girls and stuff, but that will always be rapped about. Its apart of life. I'd like to see more old school beats used today. Similar to Common's Universal mind control.

Not that i dont like the song, its a good track. (just not thread worthy)

idk, I'm just a huge Nas fan I guess. The 3rd verse is probably the best verse spit all year. Its about how the "n*****" album is now untitled because of politics, and how labels basically try to rape artist, and get them to follow the popular trend (songs about a certain dance, or whatever), instead of allowing them the freedom to do what got them where they are in the first place.
