Can't wait to watch the show!

1. Yuji Nagata, Captain New Japan, Alex Shelley, KUSHIDA & Yohei Komatsu vs. Manabu Nakanishi, Jushin Thunder Liger, Tiger Mask, Ryusuke Taguchi & Sho Tanaka

Team Nagata gets the win when Shelley pinned Tanaka via Kryptonite Crunch. Match was really nothing.

Winners: Yuji Nagata, Captain New Japan, Alex Shelley, KUSHIDA & Yohei Komatsu

2. Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Satoshi Kojima & Tomoaki Honma vs. Yujiro Takahashi, Tama Tonga & Cody Hall

Tenzan, Kojima and Honma get the win when Honma hit the top rope headbutt for the win. This was okay. Nothing memorable here. Honma’s win didn’t get as big a pop as it did at the Tokyo Dome. Hall continues to make steady progress. His discuss lariat does look killer when hit right.

Winners: Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Satoshi Kojima and Tomoaki Honma

3. IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Title: Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson (c) vs. RPG Vice (Rocky Romero & Barreta)

This was a very good tag match. I’m not sure people expected a title change here. Some very close near falls and even a great count out false finish. RPG Vice get the win with the Strong Zero (double stomp/cradle back-to-belly piledriver). Congrats to Trent Barreta on his first major title win!

***1/2

Winners: NEW IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions RPG Vice

4. IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title: Kenny Omega (c) vs. Máscara Dorada

Omega retained via One-Winged Angel. Match was fine except there was no real crowd heat. The crowd did not buy into Dorada’s near falls. Dorada seems to have the flashy moves but no real charisma behind it. After the match, Omega called out Alex Shelley. Omega/Shelley should be a hell of a match with much better crowd reaction.

Winner: STILL IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega

5. IWGP Tag Team Title: Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows (c) vs. Michael Bennett & Matt Taven

Taven and Bennett win the IWGP Tag Team Titles via Super Spike Piledriver on Anderson. Maria distracted Anderson prior to the finish. This match had no heat either as this was heel vs. heel. Of course the cameraman was fixated on Maria. Not a lot people will like this decision. This was a very political move. Match wasn’t that good either.

Winners: NEW IWGP Tag Team Champions Michael Bennett and Matt Taven

*The NJPW World Stream died for me. It has been down for many people. We will post the remaining results tomorrow morning. Unfortunately, our live coverage has been abruptly ended. Brian will probably rewatch the remaining matches and provide some type of review here.*

(6) Special 6 Man Tag Match: Togi Makabe, Hirooki Goto & Tetsuya Naito vs. Shinsuke Nakamura, Tomohiro Ishii & YOSHI-HASHI
◆Winner: Goto (13:49) following the Shouten Kai on Nakamura.
~ Goto with the win over the IWGP IC Champion as he now earned a shot at the belt.

(7) Special Tag Match: Hiroshi Tanahashi & Katsuyori Shibata [FREE] vs. Toru Yano & Kazushi Sakuraba [FREE] ◆Winner: Sakuraba (10:51) with the Sakuraba Lock on Shibata.

(8) Special Single Match: Kazuchika Okada vs. Bad Luck Fale
◆Winner: Okada (15:59) following the Rainmaker.

(9) IWGP Heavyweight Championship Match: [62nd Champion] AJ Styles vs. [Challenger] Kota Ibushi
◆Winner: Styles (27:01) with the Styles Clash.
~ 1st successful title defense.
~ Okada took out Styles after the match and declared that he will reclaim the IWGP Heavyweight belt.

Only caught the last two matches today. Fale/Okada was excellent, Okada is such a fucking workhorse, incredible. Best Fale match ever. Kota/AJ was excellent too, there was some great storytelling and the finish was amazing. ****1/4 for both.

Watched Invasion, this was good. RPG Vice getting the Jr Tag already, surprised. Something is up with the Kingdom, although it's really not a mystery, I mean, someone REALLY enjoys Maria there. Karl's face when Maria said hi made everything worth it. Really not sure why they got the belts off Shibata and Goto if they were going to do this so soon afterwards. Omega's match was fun, I laughed so hard when Dorada did that sliding splash to the outside and smashed his face on the barricade. There's a reason Rey always did it facing the ramp. But they did do some great high spots. Goto/Nakamura will be fun, I'm sure. Really liked Okada/Fale. Main event was a very good match, the finish was amazing. Okada returning the favor with the attack one year later was a very big coincidence considering I just watched the AXS episode where they showed this same angle just today, haha. Good stuff.

Wasn't last year a 12 day event? I can't remember if they happened one after the other or not but that's nearly a month long.

Invasion Attack was a good show with lots of surprises!
proxy.php

- Time Splitters, Captain New Japan, Yohei Komatsu & Yuji Nagata vs Jushin Thunder Liger, Manabu Nakanishi, Ryusuke Taguchi, Sho Tanaka & Tiger Mask was an alright show opener.

- Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Satoshi Kojima & Tomoaki Honma vs Cody Hall, Tama Tonga & Yujiro Takahashi was okay, I guess. The most significant thing that happened during this match was that Honma hit all his Headbutts, yay!

- Roppongi Vice vs The Young Bucks was so damn good, as I had hoped it would be. Holy fuckamole, new tag champs! The newly-formed RPG Vice is a good addition to the juniors division, needless to say that The Bucks are great... So, more of this, please!

- Kenny Omega vs Mascara Dorada was good, I liked it. Moment of the match would prolly have to be that rana on Omega off the apron and then CRAAASH & BUUURN onto the floor... Dayumn! I hope Omega holds on to the title for a long time, though. That post-match promo by Omega was... Too sweet! Omega/Shelley should be fun!

- The Kingdom vs Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson was okay. New champs? Surprise! Karl being obsessed with Maria during the match (who wouldn't be, eh?) was hilarious, especially when she was on the apron and saying 'hi' to the Machine Gun, that right there had me cracking up. Also, LOL'd at Taven for totally missing that double-team finisher.

- Hirooki Goto, Tetsuya Naito & Togi Makabe vs Shinsuke Nakamura, Tomohiro Ishii & YOSHI-HASHI featured some good action. Well done, lads! Goto/Nakamura is going to be fun, as well as Makabe/Ishii.

- Kazushi Sakuraba & Toru Yano vs Hiroshi Tanahashi & Katsuyori Shibata was alright.

- Kazuchika Okada vs Bad Luck Fale was great! Seriously, this had to be their best bout by far and prolly the best match I've seen Fale put on. Damn, I feel really bad for Okada. I mean, having that huge Tongan land on your freakin' face when he did the German suplex... Shoot, talk about leaving a mark. That had to hurt like hell.
The finish to the match was sweet, though.

- AJ Styles vs Kota Ibushi was excellent, I've thoroughly enjoyed it! The finish was amazing! Aaand, I'm looking forward to Okada/Styles.

She's so hawt. Before the BC's tag match had started, the camera guys were just filming her boobs and backside and I was like 'Yeah, I'm gonna be so concentrated on the match now.' lol
