Apologies for the double post, but thought I'd bump this since all the battle threads got buried.

Andy: Your best piece by far and probably my favorite piece of the PPV. Perfect blending, perfect effects. Everything just works. Awesome work!
BDC: Another good piece. Blending is okay but everything works. I probably would've gray scaled all the pictures and logos and played with the lighting to make it pop more but good work nonetheless.

My vote goes to Andy.

Andy - Everything flows smoothly but its all a little too red and gritty, it could use a light source or a bit more colour somewhere.

BDC - This is actually a bit easier to look at than Andy's if only for being brighter, but still things are just kind of placed around randomly and it doesn't really come together.

Andy: A nice, simple piece, good idea, I'm a fan of it.

BDC: Man, I know I'll be really annoying with this one, but dammit bro you know you need to download Photoshop. That's what you need in order to truly move on with your skills. By this you can only improve your GIMP skills, and everyone knows and realizes Photoshop is the main deal that the major part of us works in. I'm offering you help with installing and cracking once again if you don't know how to do it, because I see your ideas, I see what you're aiming to do, I see you got talent and I know you can improve, and you are improving in GIMP, but why not in Photoshop? But, if you still want to keep GIMP, one idea I've got, ask Tapout for some tips, because he's a GIMP genius. But, to your piece, it's nice and such, but Andy's is simply better.

Both pieces are amazing (to a layman anyway), but damn dude, Andy's piece could have been a professional bit of work! In fact, I thought it WAS one! I could easily see it illustrating an article about Spidey, in Wizard magazine or something.

BDC's is more of a "good for an online efed" sort of deal. It's awesome, but I don't see it being used in a professional outlet, unlike Andy's.

So yeah - vote goes to Andy. Sorry Beedz.
