Didn't understand the concept of drafting a young point guard to play behind a all star young point guard either.

And it doesn't make sense for either a rebuilding team that needs assets or a team in go-for-it-now mode that won't have a chance to give a rookie time to grow in the position.

Russell Westbrook and Eric Maynor?

They traded for Maynor, and at the time Westbrook wasn't a All Star type player yet so was a if Westbrook doesn't work out we got a back up plan. Rondo on the other hand is a franchise player and Boston has way more important needs than a back up point guard let alone drafting one.

Apparently he wants to do the sign and trade since Phoenix can pay him more than the Knicks can if they just signed him. As for why he wants to go to NY I don't have a clue. If Dantoni was still there I'd get it more but right now with the system pretty much being give Melo the ball and get the fuck out the way it's pointless for Nash to be there. Heard some shit about how he lives in NY during the offseason but would hope there is more to it than that.
