NJ is over the cap. No team over the salary cap may do a sign and trade as of year 3 under the new CBA. There is no way he can go there. He can't sign outright. He can't be signed and traded there like say LA did with Nash via Phoenix. The lakers used the CBA to its advantage because signs and trade won't be there next year for the nets. Dallas is the only place he can go but they have never signed a big free agent ever and the core isn't better as they would have to let go of everyone else but Mayo, Marion, and Dirk who have multi year deals as a max with Dwight plus them would put them at the cap.

You do realize who the Nets owners is right? And how a little fine for being over the caps is a slap on the wrist for him.

Congrats to the Lakers but at the end of the day, nothing has changed when it comes to the best team in the league. Miami will still prevail and I still think OKC will beat the Lakers.

Not a fine or penalty like a tax.

You can't make a sign and trade at all if you over the cap starting next years free agency. Not at all under the new CBA. He doesn't had the option. The most he could ever offer Dwight is the mini mle under the CBA rules is what I'm saying. LA cashed in on Dwight without an extension knowing that and got Nash knowing teams like them don't have the option next year.

I guess I don't mind this. Afflalo is a good player and could average 20+ PPG in Orlando, Harkless is another good frontcourt player who can develop into something, Vucevic is a solid young piece, and anything that can be done to get rid of Duhon and J-Rich is good. This was a tanking package, not a perpetual mediocrity package like one including Gasol or the Lopez one would have been. That is a good thing. If Orlando drafts well and their players develop correctly, the team could be good in the future. Having a core of good, young players like Orlando already does (Harkless/Nicholson/O'Quinn/Vucevic/Harper/Liggins/Possibly Ish Smith) that can grow together is huge.

Dwight won't resign? Don't buy that for a second, you have a perennial contender that is going to build the team around you. You would have to be Blue to not want to sign on to that.

But again this is Dwight Howard, not really much for forethought.

I missed them, but I thought it was funny when they were having technical difficulties and they made like 5 jokes about "restoring World Peace." 8D

Missed it but loved Max Kellermans podcast. I can't wait to listen to the mason and Ireland one later since I couldn't today

The fuck at Phoenix signing Jermaine O'Neal. Guess they had to sign someone for their medical staff to try and fix.

 @ he won't resign.

Kobe+Pau+Nash gone in three years also means we'll have a lot of cap space to quickly rebuild with, which is what the Lakers always do. It would take a lot for not to resign.

And the only WAY he's going to the Mavs is if they get CP3 as well as him.

Lakers with Dwigth will be 50mil under the cap when Kobe and Pau expire according to espn radio, so they will have wiggle room as long as the projected cap is met

No they won't, they'll have been handed LeBron and Kyrie Irving by then.

No I'm not bitter.

LMAO, like Kobe said bout LeBron and KD, we know you mad.

Celtics have decent offseason. Lakers piss on league, how things should always be
