Fisher was just thrown in the contest with no warning after Payton no showed the event since he was already there and was a Laker as well.

Well there you go as to why he finished in 2nd. The guys this year are much more skilled than the ones from that year minus maybe Baron in 04.

Starbury was a multiple time all star PG that led the Knicks to the playoffs that year. He wasn't the Vaseline guy yet. :

The AS week is in LA where the man has helped his team win 5 titles IRRELEVANT and get to 7 finals IRRELEVANT so you know damn well he will get votes or at least be in Shooting stars. I KNOW IT SUCKS As for the skills contest, Fisher actually filled in for Payton years ago when he no showed as a Laker in 2004 and he finished second only to Baron Davis THREE LIFETIMES AGO, AWESOME

If you were to bitch look no farther than Reke being on the list since he isn't a PG this year IRRELEVANT and wasn't even a good spot one last year either. IRRELEVANT

Evans has...what's the word? Oh yeah, skills. Physical skills. It would be embarrassing for Derek Fisher to be represented in this contest as one of the four most skilled guards in the league. He's not in the top 20. I don't care how long he piggybacked off of superior talent.

I agree.

I'm just saying if you were going to pick a guy off the list it would be Reke and replace him with Nash since it is a PG's contest and he is a SG. Hell if you are going to bring in a SG put Kobe, Manu, or Wade in there who are more skilled than all the PGs in the contest.

Fisher's fucking terrible. HE'S FUCKING TERRIBLE. Maybe if the Skills Challenge included "make your teammates pick up the slack on D because you can't stay in front of anybody" or "take a cheap shot at someone setting a pick," then Fisher would be the favorite.

Oh I don't agree with Reke being in it as he is probably only in there the same reason Fisher is (due to it being in Cali) just Fisher stands out to me because while yeah he is a good role player the man ain't known for his skills. If he's gonna be in anything just stick him in the 3 point shooting contest.
