Iowa Speedway: Part One [Round of 10]
10th September
Iowa_Speedway_track_map.png

200 laps (Stage 1–2: 60 laps; Stage 3: 80 laps)

The 2021 NASCAR Truck Series is about to heat up as we head into the Round of 10. Iowa Speedway will host the next race on September 10, 2021, and it promises to be a crucial and intense battle for playoff drivers. With just two races left in the Round of 10, every point and position counts as the drivers fight to secure their place in the Round of 8.

Iowa Speedway is one of the most exciting and challenging short tracks on the NASCAR schedule. Its tight corners, fast straightaways, and close-quarters racing make it an ideal place for chaos and opportunities. Short tracks are known for creating aggressive, hard-fought battles for position, and the Round of 10 will undoubtedly deliver intense racing action. With playoff drivers like Logan Slayer, Juice Millar, and Ben Rhodes leading the charge, we can expect fireworks throughout the race. The combination of high-pressure racing and the tight confines of a short track could shake up the points standings, and with no room for mistakes, it's all about keeping the truck clean, making smart passes, and staying ahead of the competition.

As the drivers fire up their engines, the race for a starting position in the top 10 is underway. Some of the playoff drivers have been particularly strong on short tracks, while others will be hoping to secure clean air early in the race for an advantage.

A significant moment for Team Red Bull in the 2021 NASCAR Truck Series as they celebrated their first-ever victory in the series with a dominant 1-2 finish at Iowa Speedway. Despite both Grant Enfinger and Zane Smith missing out on the playoffs, the pair showcased their strength and skill, clinching a 1st and 2nd place finish that solidified the team's future in NASCAR.

Historic Win for Grant Enfinger
Grant Enfinger took the checkered flag for Team Red Bull, securing a crucial victory in their debut season. It was a historic win not only for Enfinger but for the entire team, marking Team Red Bull’s first-ever official win in the NASCAR Truck Series. Enfinger, who showed poise and determination throughout the race, was able to hold off Zane Smith in a tense final stage to cross the finish line in 1st.

The win was an emotional moment for Enfinger, who has been one of the most consistent and respected drivers on the circuit. He knew this win was a major milestone for Team Red Bull and the confidence it gives the team moving forward into future seasons.

Zane Smith's Impressive 2nd Place Finish
Although Zane Smith fell short of the win, his 2nd place finish was a monumental achievement for both him and the team. Smith, who has had a breakout year, ran a near-perfect race and kept the pressure on Enfinger all the way through the final laps. His performance not only showed his driving talent but also reinforced Team Red Bull’s potential for future success in the NASCAR Truck Series.

Smith was visibly thrilled with the outcome, stating that finishing 1-2 with Enfinger was a perfect way to cap off a memorable season, even if the playoffs weren’t in the cards. He emphasized how the result was a testament to the team's hard work and how much the future holds for Team Red Bull in NASCAR.

Celebrating a Breakthrough Year
For Team Red Bull, this victory represents more than just a win—it’s a statement of intent. Despite missing the playoffs, the 1-2 finish showed that they have what it takes to compete at the highest level in NASCAR. Team Red Bull has entered the Truck Series with a clear vision for the future, and Enfinger and Smith have proven they are a formidable force to be reckoned with, even in their first season.

Team Red Bull's Statement
In a statement after the race, the team’s management said:
“We are beyond proud of Grant Enfinger and Zane Smith for delivering a historic 1-2 finish in our first year in the NASCAR Truck Series. This victory is a reflection of the incredible work and effort from everyone at Team Red Bull, and we’re excited to build on this momentum moving forward. While we didn’t make the playoffs this year, this result is just the beginning of what we expect to be a long and successful journey in NASCAR.”

After an emotional victory at Iowa Speedway, Grant Enfinger took a moment in Victory Lane to reflect on the historic win for Team Red Bull, marking their first-ever NASCAR Truck Series win. Enfinger was joined by Jamie Little, who asked him about the significance of the win and what the future holds for the team.

Jamie Little: "Grant, what an incredible race! Team Red Bull’s first-ever win in the NASCAR Truck Series, and you’re the one who brought it home. How does it feel to have such a monumental victory under your belt?"

Grant Enfinger: "Jamie, this is just amazing. I can’t even put into words how much this win means—not just to me, but to everyone at Team Red Bull. The team has been working so hard, and this is their first victory in the series. To be the one to bring it home, I’m just so proud. It’s a huge moment for all of us. Zane [Smith] and I have been pushing each other all year, and this is the kind of result we’ve both been working for."

Jamie Little: "It’s been such a great season for you and Zane, even if you both fell short of the playoffs. But today was a statement—finishing 1st and 2nd. What does that mean for Team Red Bull moving forward?"

Grant Enfinger: "Yeah, missing out on the playoffs is tough, but we’ve shown what we’re capable of. A 1-2 finish today is just the beginning. Zane and I are both hungry for more. Next year, we’re going to be pushing these trucks to the limit, giving everything we’ve got to get more days like today. We’ve got a great foundation, and we’re only going to build on it. I know we’ll be back stronger next year."

Jamie Little: "You and Zane have been an incredible pairing. How do you both push each other to get the best out of each other and the team?"

Grant Enfinger: "Zane is a hell of a driver. We push each other constantly, but we’ve got a mutual respect for one another. That’s what makes us stronger. We both want the same thing: wins, championships, and success for Team Red Bull. We know we’ve got a long way to go, but we’re ready to put in the work and make it happen."

Jamie Little: "Well, Grant, congratulations again on your first win for Team Red Bull. It’s been an incredible season for you both, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for you and Zane."

Grant Enfinger: "Thanks, Jamie. I can’t wait either. We’ve got a lot of work ahead, but today feels pretty damn good."

Summary
Grant Enfinger speaks with confidence about Team Red Bull’s future, acknowledging that the win at Iowa Speedway is just the beginning. With both Enfinger and Zane Smith pushing each other to the limit, the pair is focused on delivering more victories in the future. Iowa Speedway: Part Three [Round of 10]

Stewart Friesen Reflects on Third-Place Finish: "A Bad Day for Some, A Great Day for Others"
After a strong third-place finish at Iowa Speedway, Stewart Friesen took the opportunity in Victory Lane to reflect on the race and how it impacts the 2021 NASCAR Truck Series Playoffs. In an interview with Jamie Little, Friesen discussed how the race unfolded and how the results affected the playoff standings.

Jamie Little: "Stewart, congratulations on your third-place finish today. It’s been a wild race, and you’ve been right there in the thick of things. What does this result mean for you and your playoff push?"

Stewart Friesen: "Thanks, Jamie. Today’s been a crazy race. A third-place finish isn’t exactly what we wanted, but we’ll take it. It’s been a race full of ups and downs for a lot of people. For me personally, I’m happy with how we fought through the day and kept it together. But in the grand scheme of the playoffs, today was a bad day for a lot of drivers, and by virtue, a great day for others, like me."

Jamie Little: "Can you elaborate on that? What exactly do you mean by 'bad day for some, great day for others'?"

Stewart Friesen: "Well, Jamie, there were a lot of drivers—especially playoff contenders—who got caught up in accidents today, and for them, it’s a tough day. We saw Logan Slayer, Sheldon Creed, and Ben Rhodes all have issues, which puts them in a real tough spot in the standings. On the flip side, we had Grant Enfinger and Zane Smith up front, and this is a big opportunity for them. When some drivers struggle, it opens the door for others to make up ground, and that’s what we need to take advantage of. A day like today is about capitalizing on the misfortune of others, and that's what we're doing right now."

Jamie Little: "Absolutely. With the playoffs so tight, every point is crucial. How do you plan to carry this momentum forward as the competition heats up?"

Stewart Friesen: "We’ve got to keep the focus. A third-place finish here was good, but there’s no time to relax. The next few races are just as critical. We’ve been strong all season, and we know we can compete with the best of them. Our goal is to keep fighting, keep getting the most out of our truck, and put ourselves in the best position for the next round."

Jamie Little: "Well, Stewart, great job today, and we’ll be watching closely as the playoffs continue. Best of luck moving forward!"

Stewart Friesen: "Thanks, Jamie. It’s going to be an exciting next few weeks. We’re not done yet!"

Summary
Stewart Friesen remains optimistic after his third-place finish at Iowa Speedway, acknowledging that while it was a solid result for him, today was a tough day for many playoff drivers. He recognizes that the accidents and struggles of others have given him and his team a chance to gain valuable ground. With the playoffs now in full swing, Friesen remains focused on the next steps and knows that every race is a chance to secure his place in the Round of 8. The competition is fierce, and Friesen is ready to keep pushing toward a championship run.

Arthur D'Tea Responds to Charouz Racing System's Offer

After weeks of speculation and uncertainty, Arthur D'Tea has finally responded to Charouz Racing System's offer for a full-time seat in Formula 3 and a potential part-time schedule in the Xfinity Series. In a candid statement to the media, D'Tea made it clear that his focus remains solely on NASCAR and that he has no interest in pursuing a career in any other form of racing.

Arthur D'Tea's Statement:
“I appreciate the interest from Charouz Racing System and the opportunity they’ve presented me, but I want to make it very clear—my future is in NASCAR. I have no intention of pursuing a career in Formula 3 or any other open-wheel series. NASCAR is where I’ve always wanted to race, and that’s where my heart lies. I understand that teams are reaching out, but I would like to request that they stop contacting me. I’ve been polite until now, but going forward, I will be less polite in my responses if I continue to receive offers from other motorsport series.”

D'Tea’s direct response signals his strong commitment to NASCAR and his desire to focus all of his energy on progressing through the ranks of the series. The Xfinity Series, which has already shown interest in securing his participation, remains his primary focus, and he intends to continue working hard toward achieving success within NASCAR’s premier stock car racing leagues.

The Decision’s Impact on D'Tea’s Career:
D'Tea’s firm stance underscores his determination to make NASCAR his racing home, and this decision will likely draw the attention of several NASCAR teams looking to secure his talents in the future. His response makes it clear that while he respects the opportunities presented by other racing series, his long-term goals remain rooted firmly in stock car racing.

By publicly closing the door to offers from other forms of racing, D'Tea is setting clear boundaries and demonstrating his professional focus on NASCAR. His future in the series remains promising, with many believing he could make significant strides toward becoming a prominent figure in NASCAR in the years ahead.

Looking Ahead:
As D'Tea’s career continues to develop, all eyes will be on his performances in the Xfinity Series. While his decision may have closed doors in open-wheel racing, it is likely to open many others in NASCAR, where his path to greater success seems clear. D'Tea’s future in NASCAR is now firmly in his own hands, and with the right opportunities, he could become one of the most exciting new talents in the sport.

Trent Bordeaux Makes Noise on Twitter
In the wake of Arthur D'Tea’s public rejection of an offer from Charouz Racing System and his commitment solely to NASCAR, Trent Bordeaux, the Welsh-born ARCA driver, took to Twitter to make it clear that he’s still open to opportunities that D'Tea has turned down. Known for his boldness on social media, Bordeaux made a statement that caught the attention of motorsport fans and industry insiders alike.

Trent Bordeaux's Tweet:
"I see the opportunity that Arthur D'Tea has passed up, and I just want to make it clear—I’m still available. If Charouz Racing System or anyone else is looking for a driver, my seat is open. I’m all in on racing at the highest level, and I’m ready to show what I can do. NASCAR or anywhere else, I’m ready to make my mark. #OpenToOpportunities #RacingReady #ARCA"

Implications and Context:
- Bordeaux's Background: After moving to the United States for college, Trent Bordeaux has made a name for himself in the ARCA Menards Series, where he has been steadily improving and gaining recognition for his speed and consistency. He has been showing his potential as a solid up-and-coming driver in the ARCA ranks, and this tweet signals his readiness to move into more prominent racing series, including opportunities in Formula 3 or Xfinity.

- Public Show of Interest: Bordeaux’s tweet is a direct and public declaration that he is still open to offers for both open-wheel racing and stock car opportunities. It puts him in direct competition for offers that might otherwise go to someone like D'Tea, who turned down the chance to race in Formula 3 and the Xfinity Series.

- Building Momentum: Bordeaux has been steadily building momentum in ARCA, and by making this statement, he is positioning himself as a driver ready to take the next step. The motorsport community is watching closely, especially as Bordeaux continues to gain confidence and could be an attractive candidate for a team looking for fresh talent.

Fan Reactions:
The tweet quickly gained traction, with many fans and fellow drivers reacting to Bordeaux’s bold statement. Some praised his confidence and readiness to step up to higher levels, while others questioned whether he could seize this opportunity given his relatively young career. One thing is certain—Bordeaux has made it clear that he’s ready to race at the highest level, no matter the series, and he’s putting the racing world on notice.

With D'Tea's decision now setting the stage for other drivers like Bordeaux, the next few weeks will likely be critical in determining his next steps toward the top of the motorsport ladder.

Christian Eckes Reflects on 6th Place Finish at Iowa
After a solid 6th place finish at Iowa Speedway, Christian Eckes took a moment to reflect on his performance and what the future holds. The NASCAR Truck Series driver, currently racing for Young’s Motorsports, expressed satisfaction with his result but also admitted that he hopes for more competitive opportunities in 2022.

Eckes’ Reaction to His Performance at Iowa:
"Overall, I’m happy with how the truck performed at Iowa," Eckes said in an interview after the race. "A 6th place finish is solid, and I’m proud of the effort we put in. The team did a great job with the setup, and we made good adjustments during the race. But with the competition getting tougher every year, it’s clear that to take the next step, I need to be in a truck with more support and resources."

While he acknowledged the progress made with Young’s Motorsports, Eckes openly expressed his desire for a potential move to a more competitive team for 2022. After spending several seasons developing his craft in the Truck Series, he feels ready for a bigger challenge and a truck that can contend for wins consistently.

"I think it's time for me to take the next step in my career," he continued. "I’ve been with Young’s Motorsports for a while, and I’m thankful for the opportunity they’ve given me. But when I look at where I want to be next year, I want to be in a truck that’s capable of consistently running at the front. I hope that a team with more resources and a proven track record for winning races will offer me a contract for 2022."

Looking Ahead:
Eckes, who has shown flashes of brilliance throughout his time in the Truck Series, is eager to land a ride with a more competitive team that will allow him to showcase his talents at the highest level. He has the skills and experience to be a consistent contender, and his performances in races like Iowa prove that he has the potential to perform in tough, high-pressure situations.

"I’m optimistic about what 2022 holds," he added. "There’s always a lot of change in NASCAR, and opportunities arise when you least expect it. I just want to be in a situation where I can compete for wins week in and week out. That’s what I’m focused on."

Conclusion:
After a solid 6th place finish at Iowa Speedway, Christian Eckes remains determined to secure a more competitive opportunity for the 2022 NASCAR Truck Series season. With his talent and experience, Eckes is certainly a driver to watch in the off-season as he seeks a new challenge with a team capable of pushing for victories and championships. - With just one final race in the Round of 10, a win at Talladega for the other playoff drivers without a win will guarantee the a golden ticket to the Round of Eight.

- It would see that last year's champion Sheldon Creed is in a battle with Barbie Stellar and Tanner Gray to claim the last spot. However, a major wreck or crash two weeks in a row could throw a spanner in the works for everyone involved although based on points Juice, Magnussen and Slayer are probably already safe at this point.

Tanner Gray Takes Inspiration from "Talladega Nights" with Special Livery for Talladega
As Tanner Gray prepares for the highly anticipated race at Talladega Superspeedway, he admitted feeling the pressure mounting, especially as the NASCAR Truck Series playoffs intensify. To help him stay focused and find some inspiration, Gray is turning to a source of motivation that’s both unique and fun: the iconic movie Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.

For this week’s race at Talladega, Gray is unveiling a special Cougar-themed livery on his #02 Young's Motorsports Chevy, taking inspiration from Ricky Bobby's famous line: "If you ain't first, you're last." The livery is a playful nod to the movie's themes of competition, speed, and, of course, humor. Gray’s design features a Cougar mascot on the hood of the truck, along with bright, bold colors that mimic the boldness of the movie’s memorable moments.

CZwtJq1.png

Tanner Gray on the Special Livery:
“I’ll be honest, there’s a lot of pressure on me going into Talladega. The playoffs are tight, and every race counts,” said Gray. “But I’ve always been a big fan of Talladega Nights, and I thought, why not take some inspiration from Ricky Bobby? There’s no better way to lighten up and remind myself to have fun out there than by embracing the spirit of the movie. Plus, I figured if it’s good enough for Ricky Bobby, it’s good enough for me!”

The Pressure at Talladega:
With Talladega being one of the most unpredictable tracks on the NASCAR schedule, Tanner Gray knows how crucial it is to perform well in order to maintain a competitive position in the Truck Series playoffs. The high-speed, pack racing at Talladega is known to create dramatic moments and sometimes wrecks, making the race just as much about survival as it is about speed.

As Gray heads to Talladega, the pressure of the playoffs will undoubtedly weigh on him. But with a new sense of fun and a bit of inspiration from one of NASCAR's most iconic films, Gray is hoping that this special livery will help him stay relaxed and focused as he aims for a strong performance.

"I’m ready to race hard, but I’m also ready to have fun. It's Talladega, after all!" Gray added with a grin.

With a Cougar-themed truck and a bit of Ricky Bobby’s spirit in his corner, Tanner Gray is ready to take on Talladega and see if he can find the victory lane — or at least avoid a big wreck — in this high-stakes race.

Venturini Motorsports Prepares for Two-Truck Entry in NASCAR Truck Series for 2022
Venturini Motorsports, a team known for its success in ARCA and super late model racing, is set to make its much-anticipated entry into the NASCAR Truck Series for the 2022 season. Team owner Billy Venturini recently discussed the team’s plans for the upcoming season, emphasizing the team’s openness to sponsorship deals that could significantly impact their performance and overall presence in the Truck Series.

hq720.jpg

Billy Venturini on Sponsorship Opportunities:
"We’re very excited to be entering the Truck Series with two trucks in 2022," said Billy Venturini, team owner. "We believe that with the right partnerships, we can be competitive right from the start. We're actively looking for sponsorship deals, and if we find a partnership that aligns with our goals and values, it could make a huge difference. A strong sponsorship could provide the funding and resources we need to build a top-tier program and give our drivers the tools they need to succeed."

Venturini’s comments highlight the growing importance of sponsorships in motorsport, especially for teams making their debut in a highly competitive series like the Truck Series. The team is looking for strategic partnerships that will allow them to develop a competitive program, as they aim to make a strong impact in their first season.

JF Valley and the "Rubberduckzilla" Livery:
JF Valley, who will be behind the wheel of the #33 truck for Venturini Motorsports, revealed that one of his liveries for the 2022 season will be called "Rubberduckzilla". The livery, inspired by a combination of quirky creativity and the larger-than-life nature of racing, will feature a unique design blending elements of the famous Rubber Duck but massive in size.
K3PZBpJ.png

"I'm really excited about the Rubberduckzilla livery," JF Valley said. "It’s going to be a fun and eye-catching design that will definitely stand out on the track. We want to make a statement not only in terms of performance but also with our presence on the racetrack. I’m looking forward to seeing how it turns out and bringing something special to the fans."

Barry Clock-Tower Focuses on ARCA Series:
While JF Valley is eager to take on the Truck Series in 2022, Barry Clock-Tower, who will drive the #34 truck for Venturini Motorsports, was unavailable for comment. Clock-Tower is currently focused on his ongoing efforts in the ARCA Series, where he is aiming to secure a championship. His focus on the ARCA title leaves little time for comment on the Truck Series program, but he will be an integral part of the team’s efforts in 2022.

Looking Ahead to 2022:
As Venturini Motorsports enters the Truck Series, the team is eager to make a competitive debut. The combination of JF Valley’s excitement for his unique livery and the ongoing efforts of Barry Clock-Tower in ARCA sets the stage for a busy and ambitious year. With potential sponsorship deals on the horizon and an eager driver lineup, Venturini Motorsports is ready to take on the challenge of the Truck Series and make a lasting impression in the sport.

The addition of Venturini Motorsports into the Truck Series brings fresh energy to the competition, and with strong drivers and a dedicated team, the 2022 season promises to be an exciting one for fans and competitors alike.

Fans Left Confused as JR Motorsports Announces Christian Eckes to Drive the #8 Car in 2022
In a surprise announcement that has left many fans and industry insiders scratching their heads, JR Motorsports revealed that Christian Eckes, currently a driver in the NASCAR Truck Series, will be taking over the #8 car in the Xfinity Series for the 2022 season. While Eckes has shown promise in the Truck Series, the move to the Xfinity Series has raised questions, especially considering his mixed results this season.

JR Motorsports Announcement:
“We’re excited to welcome Christian Eckes to the #8 car for JR Motorsports in 2022,” said Kelly Earnhardt Miller, General Manager of JR Motorsports. “Christian has shown a lot of potential in the Truck Series, and we believe he has the talent to make an impact in the Xfinity Series. We’re looking forward to seeing what he can do with the resources and support we provide at JR Motorsports.”

Fans' Confusion Over the Announcement:
While Eckes has experience in NASCAR, many fans have expressed confusion about his placement in the Xfinity Series, especially given his inconsistent performances in the Truck Series this year. Fans are questioning whether the decision to bring him into the Xfinity Series was made based on his potential or whether other factors—such as sponsorship or team dynamics—played a role in the decision.

"Eckes has had flashes of talent in the Truck Series, but he hasn’t had the consistent results that would make him an obvious pick for the Xfinity Series," said NASCAR fan and racing commentator Jordan Taylor. "It’s a bit of a head-scratcher for fans who were expecting someone with more proven success at a higher level."

Christian Eckes’ Statement:
Christian Eckes, who will be moving up from the Truck Series, expressed his excitement about the opportunity to race for JR Motorsports in the Xfinity Series and the chance to prove himself on a larger stage.

“I’m incredibly thankful for the opportunity with JR Motorsports,” said Eckes. “The Xfinity Series is where the best of the best race, and I’m looking forward to challenging myself at this level. I know I’ve got a lot to prove, but I’m ready to give it everything I’ve got. I’ve got an incredible team behind me, and I’m excited to get started in 2022.”

The Road Ahead:
While Christian Eckes has shown promise in the Truck Series, the jump to the Xfinity Series will be a major challenge. The Xfinity Series is a competitive series, with many talented drivers vying for the championship each season. JR Motorsports is known for developing drivers into future stars, and Eckes will need to capitalize on that support to establish himself as a serious contender in the series.

For fans, the announcement leaves a lot of questions unanswered. Will Eckes rise to the occasion and prove that he has what it takes to succeed in the Xfinity Series? Or will this move to JR Motorsports be an early setback in his career? Fans will be eagerly watching as Eckes takes the wheel of the #8 car in 2022, hoping that his potential will translate into success in NASCAR's second-tier series.

The race was set on the half-mile short track in Bristol, a track known for its aggressive racing, tight battles, and dramatic moments.

Qualifying:
Brandon Blaze qualified 12th for the Food City 300, showing strong pace despite his time away from racing. The qualifying session was competitive, with top drivers battling for prime positions at the start of the race. Blaze's qualifying result was solid considering the long layoff, and his team remained optimistic about his performance in the race.

Stage 1 (Laps 1-85):
Start: The Food City 300 kicked off with Brandon Blaze starting 12th. The early laps were marked by typical short-track chaos, with drivers aggressively vying for position. Blaze started to gain confidence, and by lap 30, he had moved into the Top 10.

Caution: A caution on lap 60 for a minor incident in Turn 2 involving a couple of mid-pack cars caused a slight shuffle in the order. Blaze stayed steady, maintaining his position in the Top 10. As the race resumed, Blaze worked his way through traffic, making smart moves on the high banks of Bristol.

Stage 1 Finish: Blaze ended Stage 1 in 8th place, showing he still had the racecraft to compete with the best, despite the long break from racing.

Stage 2 (Laps 86-170):
Start: Stage 2 began with Blaze in the Top 10 but facing increasing pressure from the competition. The field was more aggressive, with drivers like Tyler Reddick and Daniel Hemric looking to assert their dominance on the short track.

Key Moment: On lap 125, Blaze made a bold move to gain a spot into 6th place, diving under another competitor into Turn 3. However, his aggressive move led to some contact, sending him sideways for a brief moment but managing to recover without losing much time. This incident, while putting him in a precarious position, showcased Blaze’s determination and hunger to make up lost ground.

Caution: On lap 155, a multi-car incident involving Sam Mayer and A.J. Allmendinger brought out the caution flag. Blaze pitted during the caution, coming out in 9th place for the restart.

Stage 2 Finish: Blaze finished Stage 2 in 7th, keeping a strong, steady pace despite the aggressive racing around him.

Stage 3 (Laps 171-300):
Start: The final stage of the race saw Brandon Blaze line up in the 7th position. With just 130 laps remaining, he knew this was his chance to secure a strong finish and possibly a top-five result.

Key Battle: Blaze had a fierce battle with Justin Allgaier for 6th place on lap 210. They swapped positions multiple times throughout the next 20 laps, with Blaze coming out on top, securing the position as they entered the final stretch of the race.

Caution and Drama: A caution came out with 50 laps to go after Jeb Burton made contact with the wall. This caution period set up a dramatic final restart with Blaze positioned in 6th. The restart was crucial, and Blaze did his best to hold off the competition, battling hard with Austin Cindric and Noah Gragson for positions.

Final Push: As the laps wound down, Blaze held his position in the Top 6, avoiding the chaos that unfolded behind him. He fought hard for every position, with his experience and patience serving him well on the short track.

Finish: Brandon Blaze finished the Food City 300 in a strong 5th place, marking an impressive return after his six-race ban. His performance showed that despite his absence, he still had the talent to compete at a high level.

Final Results (Top 10):
1) Kyle Busch – #54 (Joe Gibbs Racing)
2) Tyler Reddick – #2 (Richard Childress Racing)
3) Justin Allgaier – #7 (JR Motorsports)
4) Austin Cindric – #22 (Penske Racing)
5) Brandon Blaze – #41 (Young’s Motorsports)
6) Noah Gragson – #9 (JR Motorsports)

8) Sam Mayer – #1 (JR Motorsports)
9) Jeb Burton – #10 (Kaulig Racing)
10) A.J. Allmendinger – #16 (Kaulig Racing)

Summary:
Brandon Blaze’s return to racing in the Xfinity Series after a six-race ban that sidelined him from Truck Series playoff contention was a strong statement. Finishing 5th at Bristol, one of the most challenging tracks on the schedule, Blaze showed he still had the skill, focus, and determination to compete at a high level. His performance in the Food City 300 will no doubt boost his confidence as he looks to make more noise in the remaining races of the season

Blaze’s Post-Race Interview
As the cameras caught up with Brandon Blaze, the #41 Young's Motorsports driver appeared both exhausted and fired up from his performance. With the Bristol short-track chaos behind him and the race's intensity still fresh, Blaze didn’t hold back in his comments:

"Are you not entertained?! I’ve been waiting for this moment, waiting to come back and show the world what I can do. Six races, six races that I was wronged, taken away from me. But here I am—back. I told everyone, you can't keep me down for long. I came back stronger. I came back for me, for my team, and for all the people who thought I wouldn’t make it. You think a few weeks off can stop me? No. You can’t just take the fight out of me that easily."

Blaze’s voice was firm, as he continued:
"I've heard the whispers, the doubts—people said I wouldn't be able to bounce back, that I'd be lost. But look at me now. You can't just shut me out. You don’t know what it’s like to be treated like you’re nothing, to have everything you worked for questioned. But here I am, competing at the highest level, pushing through every obstacle thrown at me."

A Sense of Redemption:
Blaze's emotional response highlighted his desire for redemption and to prove that his talent goes beyond his past mistakes. He felt wronged by the suspension and the scrutiny that came with it, but with his performance at Bristol, it was clear he intended to show that he could rise above the adversity.

Blaze’s Closing Words:
"I’ve got something to prove, not just to the fans, but to everyone who thought this would break me. I’m not just some guy who gets knocked down. I’m coming for more. So, to anyone who doubted me—are you not entertained?"

Summary:
Brandon Blaze's post-race interview had the intensity of a gladiator’s battle cry. His frustration from being sidelined and feeling unjustly treated was clear as he used his 5th place finish as a platform to express his desire for redemption. With words that seemed ripped from the pages of Gladiator, Blaze made it evident that he’s determined to prove his doubters wrong, and his return to racing is just the beginning of a bigger fight. His fiery passion and resolve will no doubt keep fans and competitors alike watching his every move as he looks to make a statement in the remaining races.

Jeff Gluck: Tommy, you were seen leaving Austin Wayne Self’s hauler after the race at Iowa. What was that about?

Tommy: I wanted to beat his ass, but I’m not trying to get suspended. I just went and told him that you can’t be out there driving like a dumb son of a bitch. He knew he was loose, he’d been complaining about it, but he didn’t change how he drove. Tore up a lot of good trucks because he didn’t wanna risk giving up 24th place by pitting.

Talladega Superspeedway: Part Two [Round of 10]

Stage 1 Recap [1-25]

Lap 1
- The green flag flies, and the field charges down the backstretch for the first time. Bobby Rey (#00, Front Row Motorsports) leads the charge, with Dubba Best (#20, McAnally-Hilgemann) in 2nd and Grant Enfinger (#71, Team Red Bull) right behind in 3rd. The early laps see some tight drafting, with drivers jockeying for position.

Lap 5
- The drivers settle into a single-file formation, drafting in tight packs. Bobby Rey has a solid hold on the lead, with Dubba Best applying pressure in 2nd. Kevin Magnussen (#8, Kyle Busch Motorsports) and Logan Slayer (#40, DGR-Crosley) are both looking to work their way to the front, but they’ll need to stay patient as the laps unfold.

Lap 10
- The field is starting to fan out, and we’re seeing more aggressive moves as drivers look for the best drafting partners. Bobby Rey continues to lead, but Dubba Best is right there, staying close behind. Stewart Friesen (#52, Halmar Friesen Racing) is beginning to make a charge, moving into the Top 5.

Lap 15
- A caution flag flies after a slight bump from Matt Crafton (#88, ThorSport Racing) causes Derek Kraus (#19, McAnally-Hilgemann) to momentarily lose control. Fortunately, Kraus saves it, and the field remains relatively unscathed, but it’s a reminder of how quickly things can change on the superspeedway.

Lap 18 (Restart)
- The field restarts, and Bobby Rey holds onto the lead. However, Dubba Best gets a great push from Ben Rhodes (#99, ThorSport Racing) and takes over the lead by Lap 20. It’s a tight race at the front, with Bobby Rey, Kevin Magnussen, and Logan Slayer all looking for opportunities to make their moves.

Lap 25
- As the first stage comes to a close, Bobby Rey hangs onto the lead, followed by Dubba Best in 2nd, with Kevin Magnussen in 3rd and Grant Enfinger in 4th. The race has been aggressive and full of action, with drivers constantly swapping positions as they battle for valuable stage points.

Stage 2 Recap [26-50]

Lap 26 (Restart after Stage 1)

- The field takes the restart for Stage 2, with Bobby Rey and Dubba Best leading the pack. Kevin Magnussen, Grant Enfinger, and Ben Rhodes all stay in the Top 5 as they immediately go into full draft mode, looking for opportunities to advance.

- Stewart Friesen and Logan Slayer are in the mix, but it’s clear that Talladega’s draft strategy will play a key role in deciding who comes out on top in Stage 2.

Lap 30
- Bobby Rey and Dubba Best continue to exchange the lead, but Logan Slayer is moving forward, making a series of bold moves to move into the Top 10. He’s been aggressive all day, and the DGR-Crosley driver is clearly pushing hard to make up positions.

Lap 35
- Logan Slayer suffers a puncture after making contact with Sheldon Creed, causing his tire to go down. Slayer quickly tries to get the truck to pit road, but he’s unable to control the truck properly due to the tire damage. As he veers off the racing line, disaster strikes.

-The Big One: Slayer’s car is hit from behind by Tyler Ankrum, causing a massive pileup. Bobby Rey, Stewart Friesen, Tanner Gray, and several other trucks are involved in the wreck. Slayer’s truck, unable to recover from the tire puncture, is caught in the collision and is left with unfixable damage.

Stage 3 Recap [51-95]

Lap 51 (Restart after Stage 2)

- The green flag waves, and Tommy Bedlam (#77, GMS Racing) leads the field as the race enters its final stage. Bedlam gets a strong push from Kevin Magnussen (#8, Kyle Busch Motorsports) and Ben Rhodes (#99, ThorSport Racing) as the field spreads out, and they quickly form a draft train.

- John Hunter Nemechek (#4, Kyle Busch Motorsports) starts making moves, showing his aggressive drafting style, but Bedlam holds onto the lead as they hit the high banks of Talladega.

Lap 60
- The field is working together, but drivers are beginning to get more aggressive. Bedlam, still in the lead, begins to feel pressure from behind as Nemechek, Rhodes, and Grant Enfinger (#71, Team Red Bull) are all looking for a way to get around him.

- Barbie Stellar (#27, DGR-Crosley), who had been in the middle of the pack, suddenly finds herself in the Top 10, pushing for her first win of the season. Stellar is making bold moves, trying to get herself into contention.

Lap 70
- John Hunter Nemechek makes a calculated move on Bedlam, diving to the inside line, but Bedlam fights back hard, keeping the lead for a few more laps. Meanwhile, Sheldon Creed (#2, GMS Racing) and Tanner Gray (#02, Young’s Motorsports) are making their presence felt, sitting just outside the Top 5, waiting for an opportunity.

- The Big One almost strikes again as Tanner Gray and Derek Kraus (#19, McAnally-Hilgemann) make contact. They both manage to save it, but the caution is out, bunching the field back together for a dramatic restart.

- John Hunter Nemechek is able to get a much-needed push from Zane Smith (#70, Team Red Bull) on the restart, helping him gain positions.

Lap 85
- As the restart is completed, Nemechek moves into 2nd place behind Bedlam. With just 20 laps to go, the two trucks begin to separate from the pack. Bedlam is still holding the lead, but Nemechek has shown the speed to challenge him for the top spot.

- Bobby Rey (#00, Front Row Motorsports) and Grant Enfinger are working together to close the gap, staying just behind the leaders.

Lap 90
- The intensity ramps up as the final laps approach. Tommy Bedlam holds the lead, but Nemechek is glued to his rear bumper, preparing to make a final push. Both drivers are weaving in and out of the draft, positioning themselves for a sprint to the finish.

Lap 95 (Final Lap)
- Bedlam and Nemechek are nose-to-tail as they head into the final lap. Enfinger and Magnussen are working hard to close in, but it’s clear that the final two will have to battle for the win.

- Nemechek makes his move at the start/finish line, diving below Bedlam as the two trucks race side by side. The crowd is on the edge of their seats, as both drivers trade positions, drafting off each other to make one final push.

(Photo Finish)
- John Hunter Nemechek edges out Tommy Bedlam in a photo finish, crossing the line just inches ahead to win the Elimination Race at Talladega Superspeedway.

John Hunter Nemechek Celebrates Victory – 13th Unique Winner of the 2021 Truck Series Season

John Hunter Nemechek delivered a thrilling victory at Talladega Superspeedway, crossing the finish line in a photo finish ahead of Tommy Bedlam. The victory marked a major milestone as Nemechek became the 13th unique winner of the 2021 NASCAR Truck Series season. After a year filled with struggles and disappointment, with Nemechek being way out of playoff contention and finishing 24th in the regular season, this win was a statement and a huge redemption moment.

Nemechek's Road to Victory:
Despite an incredibly difficult season, where John Hunter Nemechek had been battling mechanical failures, bad luck, and inconsistency, the race at Talladega proved that superspeedway racing can often be a great equalizer. Known for his racing talent but marred by a rough start to the year, Nemechek showed his skills when it counted, executing a perfect final lap to edge out Tommy Bedlam in one of the most exciting finishes of the season.

His win at Talladega also highlighted the unpredictable nature of superspeedway racing, where strategic drafting and position play lead to an outcome no one could have predicted earlier in the season. The victory marks Nemechek's first win of 2021 in what had been a challenging year, ultimately showing that anything can happen when the stars align, even for a driver who had been essentially out of playoff contention.

Post-Race Interview:
After the race, Nemechek was ecstatic, but also visibly relieved and grateful, reflecting on the struggles of the season and how this win felt especially sweet.

"It's been a tough year," Nemechek said. "We’ve been battling all season, and honestly, there were times I didn’t think we’d even have a chance to win. But Talladega is a place where anything can happen, and today, we got lucky. I'm proud of my team and the work we've put in, even when things weren’t going well. This win is for all of us."

His win also ties him with 13 unique winners in the 2021 season, an impressive statistic that showcases the unpredictable and competitive nature of the series.

Looking Ahead:
Although Nemechek is not part of the playoffs this year, the victory at Talladega gives him momentum and confidence going into the next season. For the Kyle Busch Motorsports driver, the win will go down as one of the highlights of a season filled with struggles, leaving fans excited to see what he can achieve in the future.
As the 2021 NASCAR Truck Series continues, the story of John Hunter Nemechek's triumph at Talladega will undoubtedly be one of the most memorable, both for him and the fans who witnessed an incredible race.

Tommy Bedlam Frustrated After Narrow Loss in Talladega – "Missed My Chance for Win #3"

Tommy Bedlam came agonizingly close to his third victory of the 2021 NASCAR Truck Series season at Talladega Superspeedway but fell short in a photo finish with John Hunter Nemechek. The GMS Racing driver led much of the final stage but was overtaken by Nemechek in the final laps, missing out on a much-needed win to solidify his position in the playoffs.

After crossing the finish line in 2nd, just inches behind Nemechek, Bedlam was clearly frustrated in his post-race interview.

Post-Race Interview:
"Honestly, I’m pissed off right now," Bedlam said, visibly upset. "I thought I had this one. I led so many laps, and I was in the perfect position with two laps to go. But then you get to the final stretch, and it’s like the draft and the moves just don’t go your way. Nemechek had a great run, and I couldn’t hold him off. I was so close to my third win of the year, and it just slipped away."

Frustration Over Missing Opportunity:
The 2021 season has been a solid one for Tommy Bedlam, with two wins already under his belt. However, he knew that a third win at Talladega, one of the most unpredictable tracks, would not only cement his position as a serious playoff contender but also give him the momentum he needed to carry through the rest of the season.

"It's tough because you know this is the kind of race where a win could change everything for the championship," Bedlam continued. "I’ve been doing the work, and I know the team’s been working their butts off. To be so close and not get it… it stings. This was a huge opportunity missed."

Looking Forward:
Despite his frustration, Tommy Bedlam knows the season is far from over, and he still has a solid chance to make a strong playoff push. Sitting comfortably in the Top 10 of the points standings, Bedlam will be focused on finishing the season strong as the Truck Series moves into its remaining races.

"I'm not going to let this get to me," Bedlam concluded. "We’ll regroup, and we’ve still got the playoffs to fight for. One race doesn’t define us. I’m just going to keep pushing and keep getting stronger."

Barbie Stellar in Shock After Advancing to the Round of 8: "All I Need is One Win"
After a dramatic Elimination Race at Talladega Superspeedway, Barbie Stellar could hardly believe her luck as she secured a spot in the Round of 8 in the 2021 NASCAR Truck Series playoffs. The #27 DGR-Crosley driver was in disbelief as she realized she was one of the drivers moving forward, knowing that a win in the upcoming races could very well propel her into the Championship Four.

Post-Race Interview:
“I honestly still can’t believe it. Talladega was a rollercoaster, and I was so nervous the entire time," Stellar said in a post-race interview. "To make it through and be one of the 8 left in the playoff battle—it’s surreal. I’ve had my ups and downs this season, but now I have the opportunity to fight for the championship, and all I need is one win to be in the Championship Four. That’s the goal.”

Stellar's Determination:
Stellar, who had been on the edge of elimination, turned her focus to what comes next in the playoffs. She knows that in the Truck Series, the path to the finals is narrow, but the possibility of a win and advancing to the Championship Four is within reach.

"Now, it’s about staying aggressive and taking every opportunity to grab that win. I’m just one good race away from making it to Phoenix," Stellar said, with a smile on her face. "I’ve made it this far, and I’m not going to back down now. I know there’s a lot of work to do, but all I need is one win, and I’ll be right there."

What’s Next for Barbie Stellar:
As she moves forward in the Round of 8, Barbie Stellar is now more motivated than ever. Her confidence is growing, knowing she has the chance to make a run for the championship. With the next few races ahead, Stellar will be focused on doing everything she can to secure a victory and put herself in contention for a spot in the finals.

Sheldon Creed Disappointed After Elimination
Sheldon Creed, the 2020 NASCAR Truck Series Champion, was left frustrated and disappointed after being eliminated from the 2021 playoffs following the Elimination Race at Talladega Superspeedway. Despite his efforts throughout the season, Creed's championship defense came to an early end, and he made it clear that the playoff cut didn't sit well with him.

Post-Race Interview:
In his post-race interview, Creed was visibly upset as he reflected on his elimination:

“I’m really frustrated right now. We worked so hard all season, but now we’re out. I thought we had a shot, but the way things went down… I just can’t believe I’m out,” Creed said. “The biggest frustration for me is that if Germain Loochhausen hadn’t won at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, I’d be advancing to the next round. That win really put him in a strong position, and unfortunately, it was enough to push me out.”

Loochhausen's Impact on Creed's Playoff Run:
Creed made a point to highlight the significance of Loochhausen's win at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park earlier in the season. That victory, which Loochhausen earned during a dominant performance, ended up playing a pivotal role in Creed's playoff exit. While Loochhausen secured his spot in the Round of 8, the points gap that win created was just enough to keep Creed out of contention.

"That win at Canadian Tire made the difference for me. I had a great season, but in the end, it was a couple of points that cost me. Loochhausen's win was a game-changer. If he hadn’t won, I’d have been in, and now I’m sitting here out of the playoffs,
" Creed added, shaking his head.

Looking Ahead:
Despite the disappointment, Creed acknowledged that he will use this setback as motivation for the future. “We’re not done yet. I’m going to keep pushing. Next year, I'm in the Barclays International Series, but that won't stop me trying to get one last win before I say goodbye to the truck series!"

As the 2021 Truck Series playoffs continue, Creed’s frustration is palpable, especially given how close he was to advancing. But, as a former champion, his determination to rebound and fight for another title is undeniable.

Tanner Gray Reflects on Elimination
After being eliminated from the 2021 NASCAR Truck Series playoffs, Tanner Gray took a moment to reflect on his season. Despite the disappointment of not advancing, Gray was philosophical about his journey, acknowledging that even making it to the playoffs was a big achievement, one that was never part of the plan at the start of the year.

Post-Race Interview:
"Obviously, it’s tough to be out of the playoffs now," Gray said in his post-race interview. "But getting two wins and making it to the playoffs? Honestly, that wasn’t part of the plan this season. We came into the year with a lot of uncertainty, and to be where we are now—it's been a huge step forward. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished."

Despite his early exit from the playoffs, Gray’s two wins were a big surprise and an impressive feat for a driver who had to quickly adapt to the competitive Truck Series environment.

A New Chapter: Tanner Gray's Move to Joe Gibbs Racing:
In a significant announcement, Gray confirmed that tonight’s race at Talladega Superspeedway would be his final race in the Truck Series. He revealed that he will be joining Joe Gibbs Racing to begin preparations for the Inaugural NASCAR International Series, signaling a shift in his career to the higher ranks of NASCAR.

"I’ve just been granted special permission by Young’s Motorsports to end my contract four races early and move on to Joe Gibbs Racing," Gray shared. "I’m really excited for the next step in my career and to join such a prestigious team. The International Series is a new challenge, and I’m ready to give it my all."

What’s Next:
The NASCAR International Series is set to be a groundbreaking new platform, and Gray’s transition to this series is a significant move in his career. With his experience and two wins in the Truck Series, he’s now poised to take the next step toward NASCAR’s top tiers, aiming to compete at the highest level.

"I’m grateful for everything Young’s Motorsports has done for me, and I’m excited for this new challenge ahead with Joe Gibbs Racing," Gray said, looking ahead to what will be a new chapter in his NASCAR journey. "It’s a big leap, but I’m ready for it."

"Retiring the Car and Watching the Race Was a Nightmare"
Logan Slayer’s early exit from the Elimination Race at Talladega Superspeedway was nothing short of frustrating. After a tire puncture led to a massive pileup, Slayer was forced to retire from the race, leaving him helpless as he watched the race unfold from the sidelines. Despite the disappointment of not finishing the race, Slayer was thankful that he had accumulated enough playoff points earlier in the season to advance to the Round of 8.

Post-Race Interview:
"Watching the race from the garage was a nightmare," Slayer admitted in his interview. "To have to retire the car and just sit there, helpless, watching everything unfold—it’s one of the worst feelings I’ve ever had in my career. It’s a huge blow, especially when I was feeling so confident going into Talladega."

Despite the frustration of being sidelined early in the race, Slayer took solace in the fact that he had earned enough points earlier in the season to secure his spot in the next round.

"Honestly, I feel lucky. I’m blessed that I had enough points on the board to advance despite not finishing the race. It’s been a rollercoaster year, and I’m just thankful I did enough before this race to keep moving forward," Slayer said, reflecting on the regular season and the results that had helped him stay in contention.

Kyle Busch Motorsports Looking for a More Established Driver for the #8 Truck in 2022
Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) has confirmed that they are actively seeking a more established driver to take over the #8 truck for the 2022 NASCAR Truck Series season. While Kevin Magnussen (#8) is set to move to the Xfinity Series next season with Kaulig Racing, KBM is making big moves for the future.

In a statement from the team, KBM revealed that they have already approached a few drivers for the #8 seat, but have refused to name specific individuals. The team has teased that the three drivers they have spoken to might surprise some people, leaving fans and analysts eagerly speculating about which drivers could be in the running.

KBM’s Strategy Moving Forward:
With Magnussen’s departure from the Truck Series, KBM is looking to elevate their program by bringing in a more experienced driver to take the #8 truck to new heights. The team has been one of the top organizations in the Truck Series, and they are aiming to maintain that momentum into 2022 and beyond.

The fact that KBM is considering several established drivers for the role suggests that they are looking for someone with a proven track record in NASCAR or even someone with experience in Xfinity or Cup Series racing. This shift represents a big commitment to building a strong future for the team.

Who Could Be Involved?
While the specific names of the drivers approached by KBM are being kept under wraps, the three drivers they’ve reached out to are rumored to be somewhat surprising. The team has remained tight-lipped about their choices, but fans and analysts have been quick to speculate. Could we see a Cup Series driver making the jump to the Truck Series? Could former champions or veteran drivers be in the mix? It's still unclear, but KBM is certainly making a big move to strengthen their lineup.

Kevin Magnussen’s Next Step:
Meanwhile, Kevin Magnussen will move to Kaulig Racing in the Xfinity Series for 2022, marking a significant transition for the former Formula 1 driver. While his time in the Truck Series with KBM has been valuable, the team’s focus now shifts to finding a new face for the #8 truck.

Magnussen’s move to Kaulig Racing signals his commitment to advancing his NASCAR career, while KBM looks for the right driver to fill his shoes in the Truck Series.

Looking Ahead:
As Kyle Busch Motorsports works to solidify its lineup for the 2022 season, the pressure will be on to find the right driver who can not only perform at a high level but also bring fresh energy and experience to the team. Fans can expect more news soon about who will take the reins of the #8 truck—but for now, KBM is playing their cards close to the chest.

This strategic move to bring in a more established driver for the #8 truck will be an interesting development for the team as they continue to grow and chase success in the NASCAR Truck Series.
