N00bing Newbies?!

I've been to some forums before, and I've noticed how new members tend to be looked down on by some of the 'veterans'. The question I ask is why? So you've been on the same message board for 2 years. Does it really make you any better than someone who joined that board today?

Even if you are an 'old' member, does it mean that you are dedicated enough and loyal enough to a specific forum? Does the word 'old' means everything in the world of forums? or being a well known member gives you the right to obsess other opinions and other energies that tend to float on the surface recently?

Alienating new members wouldn't be in the interests of a forum either as in the end you'd just have the same people having the same conversations with nothing new to add, which would kind of defeat the purpose of it.

Yea...I mean I been here for less then a year...and really no matter what I post I get treated wrong by people who been here longer...like when I tried to explan the rating's for shows peepshow wanted to act like a jerk...I mean I just tried to help people...I treat members based on how they acted...if someone joined today and respected people...and all that I would be good to him...but if he came in bashed talked trash I do the same to him...idc how long u been here I go by how u act

As long as your opinion isn't one of rkorockz you'll be fine. If there's a clique that absolutely says fuck you to anyone else then it'd be a problem. Mods are very cliquey and end up alinating alot of people but they like it that way and I don't blame them. But even in their forums you'll survive as long as you can hold your own. You could have a complete opposite opinion on everything and would fit in as long as your posts were somewhat intelligent hence why forums are so popular

Good topics man i agree with you. Ive been here for under a year now and feel as if ive never been looked down on by anyone at all allt he guys here have been ok with me. So yeah i see the point in this thread but ive not been a suspect here or in any other forums.

Some of the newer members(I shall not name names) get too concerned about what other members think of them, and because of this, they would just be a follower and just post what the majority think. I admit I used to be like that when I joined, but I learned that I'll never meet these motherfuckers anyway, so I might as well just post as I wish. Fuck what others think.

Others try to hard to get attention. Pfft. Attention and respect are two different things.
