-- Rey Mysterio was not happy about changing brands. He was proud of the fact that SmackDown greatly reached out to the Latino demographic in contrast to Raw. On another note, he was also upset about having to leave some friends behind on SmackDown and felt snubbed about not being informed of the move ahead of time. Even after being called at the last minute while doing promotional work in Mexico, he didn't know he was being moved to Raw until moments before the live announcement on television.

Thoughts?

He basically got the JR treatment, which is bullshit. I would have kept him on Smackdown! where most of his fans are, but whatever. Hopefully he gets a good push on RAW

I think its good they dont tell anyone. From what Chris Masters says, they have three guys @ gorilla so three people at each pick are wondering if they are getting moved.

Besides, you never know if one of the guys that are told would screw up and tell at an interview.

I understand the move by the WWE. Rey is big with the Latin demographics, and WWE, if you have seen, draws 5.0 ratings with the latins, and Raw needs more ratings, it is actually pretty easy to see why they made the move

Well its good that Rey is on RAW for his career but they really should have told him way before the draft, like all the rest of them...Rey would just get stale on SD :)

I agree that the Wrestlers should be warned ahead of time...but there should be a penalty if they slip their transfer to the public...As the whole fun part of the draft is the surprising ones like Rey that you have no idea are going to happen...

^They already did that so that would have been incredibly pointless. Personally I've never been much of a Rey Mysterio fan so for me his move to Raw didn't do too much. I'd like to see them bring back the Cruiserweight belt or have him fight for the IC strap because I think that's the type of talent he is, but we'll see.

^^ i know they already did it once but they could have done it again instead of letting it die off just look at how many times we've seen taker/batista i don't think they would have let this die off

^I doubt it. Rey Mysterio is like a filler main eventer, not a full time main event star. He was only in that feud to give time for the Taker-Edge feud, which it did well. He's just not the kind of guy that will be in a title program year round, at least not in my opinion.
