Now keep in mind just because I say overrated doesn’t mean I think they suck most of the guys with the exception of 1 person, we’re all good but I just feel like they get too much credit. I don’t hate any of these guys it’s just they get a little too much credit.

10. The rock. Now personally In the ring the rock doesn’t get enough credit I’ll give him that, he was a better worker then people give him credit for. But when you look at the rocks career it was very short.. his run at the top started in 1998. And only lasted until 2001. That’s only 4 years. To be an all time great you have to have longevity and the rock didn’t have that he pretty much sold out early. Also the rocks catchphrases though funny became stale as the years went on.

9. Triple h. Triple h is a guy who’s popularity was never quite on the same level as Austin or rock. Now triple h was really great from 1999-2001. Before that quad injury. After the injury hhh was never the same, but my problem with him is it doesn’t seem to matter that he’s had many lackluster matches over the years they still hype him up as an all time great when he’s not, he’s been an average wrestler since that injury, he only had 3 good years. Not enough.

8. Ultimate warrior. Warrior had alot of charisma he was the man the hero. But his in ring work left alot to be desired. His best match was with macho man and macho could take a broomstick and create magic.

7. Brock lesnar. Lesnar is a guy that was pushed too soon and too hard. They made the same mistake with lesnar that they did with Cena. They forced him down our throats too soon and gave him too much to the point where he had nothing left to prove and it got boring for him and he ended up leaving the company. Lesnar was really awful on the mic, and while he had a great look and presence, his moveset just consisted of German suplexes and an f5.

6. Chris Beniot. Now I’m not taking anything away from Beniot in the ring, but when people call him the greatest of all time? He’s not sorry. To be an all time great you have to be the total package, and while Beniot was a great wrestler he lacked the charisma and mic skills.

5. Edge. Now personally I liked edge I was a fan of his. But it always baffled me when people put him in the same category with guys like Jericho and Austin. Edge is nowhere near that level, he was a good wrestler and a great heel but he’s not an all time great, and this is coming from a guy who liked edge but I’m not going to be bias.

4. Randy Orton. Ortons had a great career no doubt, but he just never quite lived up to the hype for me. Orton comes across to me as a guy who’s only in it for the money and isn’t passionte about wrestling at all he’s sort of like Bobby lashley just using the wwe as stepping stone. Orton is a very boring in ring worker and he’s very boring on the mic, and he also has the reputation for being very lazy, also he’s had so many underwhelming mania matches. And this is proof that orton isnt an all time greats you don’t hear his name in dream matches. If orton was that big of a deal wouldn’t rock vs orton had happened? Exactly.

3. Bret Hart. Once again just like Chris Beniot. Great in ring worker, but was lacking in the charisma department, now I would say Bret had more charisma then Beniot but is that really saying much? To be an all time great again you have to be the total package and Bret wasn’t.

2. John Cena. Cena to me isn’t what the wwe makes him out to be. This is a guy who was never supposed to be the top guy.. he only got the spot by default because Brock ditched the company and vince needed to find another guy he could trust in and knew was going to stay, Cena is not a horrible worker but he’s not great either, he can’t tell an in ring story, he botches moves alot, Cena has dozens of flaws I can name more but I won’t get into it, bottom line is Cena is overrated.

1. Roman reigns. Easily the most overrated and overpushed wrestler of all time. The iwc defends this guy so much, I know right now he’s kind of out of the main event picture but you gotta think sooner or later, he will have that strap back on him, but the iwc loves defending this guy.. why? What’s so special about him? He’s a charisma vacuum with next to no personality, his moveset is boring punch kick, clothesline, superman punch, there’s absolutely nothing this guy brings to the table they’ve tried so hard to get him over and it’s failed everytime. What does the wwe see in roman reigns? At least with Cena he had charisma but this guy? Roman reigns? What does he have? Name me a truly classic Roman reigns match. These superstars I have on this list are all overrated in someway’ve all had at least 1 or 2 classic matches.

The rock. Matches with stone cold/Hhh.

Edge. Tlc matches with Christian,

Cena. Matches with hbk,

Randy Orton, match with undertaker,

Warrior, match with macho man.

Lesnar, matches with angle.

Beniot, matches with Kurt angle

Bret Hart. Dozens of classics,

At least these guys have had classic match or matches.

Your #1 pick may cause some butt hurt...
But I happen to agree with it.

Although you also have Bret Hart & Chris Benoit
on your list...so I am slightly butt hurt myself.

Butt Hurt.
They are overrated because they aren’t all time greats like people make them out to be, to be an all time great you have to be the total package.

Have to strongly disagree with you on the Bret Hart assessment. For example, in 97 his promo work was arguably the best in all of wrestling and the Canada/US story line was red hot because of it. In contrast, I can see your point on Benoit, he never carried the show like Bret did.

I agree with some on your list but I'm surprised Hulk Hogan isn't up there.

He's one of the most overrated of all time. The man is so limited and stiff in the ring and some consider him to be not just one of, but The Greatest of All Time... Which is very SMH worthy in my book

Hulk Hogan is the most overrated wrestler in WWE’s history, by far. Things they did with him could have been done with every second jobber as well. Guy was terrible in-ring, 2x worse than Roman Reigns. The only reason Hull Cogan was charismatic is because of gimmick and things they put in his character, basically something you could do with EVERYONE else. He didn’t know how to cut a good promo and wasn’t much entertaining either.

Well for me...mic skills & promo abilities are vastly
overrated in their importance. For me its all about
the in-ring storytelling...and Bret Hart & Chris Benoit
are two of the best ever...even if talking about Benoit
makes me feel sick.

For a moment there, I was going to ask how a wrestler could be overrated while not getting the credit they deserve, but you explained that pretty well.
