Okay...why in the fuck are people bringing racism into this thread? I never said I didn't like Obama because he's black. I never said anything about Obama's race as a factor.

Here's my main thing that is against Obama...

So you work hard to earn money right?....let's say you make $200,000 a year right?...okay...so you're going to get taxed more than the middle class because you work harder than some middle class people. That would really piss me off.

I am so gonna laugh my ass off when Obama pulls troops out of Iraq early and causes another Vietnam. And I always hear people use the excuse "The soldiers don't want to be over there" Then why in the hell is McCain (someone that is for the war in Iraq) leading Obama in military polls?

And I really don't get why people have to come into this thread and act like ignorant asshole because I believe something differently than most of the people on this forum do....I never went to anyone's Obama threads and attacked Obama or the thread starter, did I? So please GTFO of this thread and don't act like an asshole if you're here to bash me, or McCain.

Instead of spreading wealth around, John McCain & Sarah Palin will spread opportunity.
More like they will spread the wealth between themselves and their big business friends.
Barack Obama will raise taxes on hardworking Americans to give a government handout to the 40% of Americans who pay no income taxes.
Barack Obama will raise taxes on the top two tax tiers....people who probably do absolutely do no work at all, let alone hard work.

John McCain and Sarah Palin have an economic plan that celebrates the American dream of opportunity, not government giveaways. In this country, we believe in spreading opportunity, for those who need jobs and those who create them. While Barack Obama is ready to "spread the wealth around," John McCain has a plan to get our economy moving so everyone has access to good jobs, a quality education and the opportunity to succeed.
But they'll only help if you give them a cut back from the bailout they give you.

John McCain and Sarah Palin don't just talk about change ... they deliver.
$700,000,000,000 may be pocket change to some, but not to the rest of us Americans.

The next President won't have time to get used to the office. America faces many challenges here at home, and many enemies abroad in this dangerous world.
maybe we should focus on not making enemies over money. Sounds like a good idea to me.

We cannot spend the next four years as we have spent much of the last eight: hoping for our luck to change at home and abroad. We need a new direction, and John McCain and Sarah Palin will fight for it.
Sorry, but attacking countries to control their economic flow into their pockets isn't a new direction. As a matter fact, that's wha we've been putting up with for the past 8 years.

We can trust John McCain and Sarah Palin because they are reformers with a record who stand by their words and will always put their country first.
and will always put their bank account first. <---fixed.

Time and time again this team of mavericks has stood up, taken on tough issues and delivered. They're the real deal. They have a clear record that can deliver results, not just rhetoric that delivers votes.
They sure deliver...especially if you pay them off first.

John McCain on...

Taxes - John McCain believes we must keep taxes low to reward hard work and create jobs for all Americans.
If you consider rich people hardworking (the only people who get tax cuts under McCain's plan).

Econmic Plans - John McCain has a comprehensive economic plan that will create millions of good American jobs, ensure our nation's energy security, get the government's budget and spending practices in order, and bring relief to American consumers
John McCain's plan would have the government LOSE $600 million after he spends 3.7 billion (and don't forget about the ever growing debt that Iraq is giving us, since McCain wants to keep the war going).

Energy - John McCain will break from the past to lead a great national campaign to put us on a course for energy independence. No problem is more urgent today than our dependence on foreign oil.
John McCain had a chance to do that when he was a Senator, yet he decided to not vote on ANYTHING dealing with energy. Hmmmm....

Health Care - John McCain will make health care more available, affordable and responsive to patients and he will give families more choices over their care.

...and he will tax it for the FIRST TIME in history. But no, Obama's the tax hiker here.

Reforming Washington - John McCain has a record of working to end Washington's stagnant, unproductive partisanship. He will end wasteful government spending and put the government back on the side of the American people.
He has made no attempt to that before. And I doubt he will either. He only cares about his money and will say what people want to hear to get it.
Government Spending - John McCain is committed to and has long fought for restoring fiscal discipline by eliminating wasteful government spending. Out of control spending has resulted in a weaker dollar, raising the cost of groceries and gas and killing jobs. John McCain will rein in federal spending to help our families in tough economic times.
Again, he didn't oppose any of that before it got out of hand.

Iraq - John McCain had the judgment to understand that America's strategy in Iraq was failing and the courage to call for a dramatic change. That strategy is now working, and America is succeeding in Iraq
Sorry, but we should have never went in the first place. The whole reason we went over there was for oil/money, and that's the only reason he wants to stay.

Obama on....

Taxes - Barack Obama wants to "spread the wealth around" and is more interested in controlling who gets your piece of the pie than he is in growing the pie.
I thought you said he wanted to raise taxes? Wouldn't that make the pie grow?

Economic Plan - The Obama tax increase would come at the worst possible time for America, and especially for small businesses like the one Joe the Plumber dreams of owning. The small businesses Senator Obama would tax provide 16 million jobs in America. And a sudden tax hike for those businesses will kill jobs at a time when we need to be creating more jobs.
Maybe to McCain they're small businesses, but Obama would only raise taxes on companies that make more than 250,000 profit a year. That's a big number. I doubt Joe the Plumber will start a local plumbing business that makes that much....unless of course he does it for the rich people that he's a "mascot" for.

Energy - Barack Obama voted for the same policies that created the problem. He voted for the energy bill promoted by President Bush and Vice President Cheney, which gave even more breaks to the oil industry.
The bill that Obama voted for would give them a tax break under the agreement that the oil and gas companies would provide innovative ways to reduce the nation's dependence on foreign oil, conserve resources and reduce pollution.

Health Care - Barack Obama's plan will harm employer coverage, continues the push toward government-run health care and will damage private coverage.
Again, McCain wants to tax health care, making the cost go UP. While giving that tax money to, you guessed it, the insurance company. if they don't want it government controlled, they shouldn't tax it.

Reforming Washington - The American people have not seen Barack Obama forsake partisanship for progress. In his short time in the Senate, Congressional Quarterly shows he voted with the Democrat Party 97 percent of the time.
And McCain voted along with Bush 90% of the time. Look who's talking.

Government Spending - Barack Obama plans to increase spending by nearly a trillion dollars. Already in three short years in the Senate, he has requested nearly a billion dollars in pork projects for his state and has been an eager participant in this corrupt system.
Yeah, he wants money to fix his communities. that's so horrible. We only want to give our money to business CEO's under the claim that their business is failing so they can spend it on whatever they like....and not on their "failing business."

Iraq - Barack Obama opposed the new strategy and predicted wrongly that it would fail. He voted to deny critical funds to our men and women fighting in Iraq.
Again, they shouldn't be risking their lives to fluff someone's bank account, so in my opinion the war is a failure even if we do win.

For those of you who like to say "McSame"...you might want to look at Obama too...BOTH of the senators have voted WITH President Bush on almost EVERYTHING...so if you think McCain is like President Bush, you might want to look at Obama also...

Obama voted with Bush on some things true, but they're economic plans and stance on the war (the 2 biggest issues now) are completely different.

One more thing...his grandmother, or one of this close relatives (I can't remember) isn't an American citizen, and she is illegal...so she's being kept in the country illegally and she has donated to the Obama campaign...I'm pretty sure you have to hold a green card or be an American citizen to donate money (I watched this on CNN this morning when they discussed this)
It's an aunt, and what does that have to do with his policies? Dig dirt much?

imo Barack Obama is taking away from the American Dream...if you work your entire life to make so much money...you're going to get punished for it, by paying extra taxes...

Again, the people who have their taxes raised were more than likely born into the fortune they have and probably have never done REAL work. So if anything, Obama makes the American dream more possible for everyone, not just people who were born into rich families.

So you work hard to earn money right?....let's say you make $200,000 a year right?...okay...so you're going to get taxed more than the middle class because you work harder than some middle class people. That would really piss me off.
you obviously haven't experienced the real world. It usually turns out the harder you work, the less you are paid. most people who make enough to be in the top 2 tax brackets usually have secretaries and personal assistants doing their work.

I am so gonna laugh my ass off when Obama pulls troops out of Iraq early and causes another Vietnam.
Wait, you mean, getting involved in something we shouldn't be? Too late, Bush already caused it.

And I always hear people use the excuse "The soldiers don't want to be over there" Then why in the hell is McCain (someone that is for the war in Iraq) leading Obama in military polls?
I've never heard that.

And I really don't get why people have to come into this thread and act like ignorant asshole because I believe something differently than most of the people on this forum do....I never went to anyone's Obama threads and attacked Obama or the thread starter, did I? If you can't handle the criticism, don't make the thread.

America is hungry for change. Our economic recovery, continued national security and our future global standing are at stake. This election is in your hands. And there are clear differences in the choice you have on November 4th.

Yeah just to point out 2 things.

1) I've never heard of an average american making anything even CLOSE to 200,000 a year. That's like, really good doctor/psychologist salary there. Hard working americans, like engineers, construction workers and so forth, make even less than 70,000 a year on average. So Obamas tax plan isnt going to effect even the remotely wealthy. More like the supremely bloated rich population who have more money than they honestly need.

and 2) About you complaining about Obamafans attacking your McCain thread, you fail to realize that Democrats (actually most political view points) are hypocritical. They can make half a dozen "vote for Obama threads" and then attack you like a shark for disagreeing with them in their thread. But if you make a "vote for McCain" thread, then they are considered within their right to attack you and call you an idiot. I'd hoped that as a conservative thinker, you would of learned this lesson by now.

k so, lemme get this straight.

Hypothetically let us say for sake of simplicity that taxes are a flat 20% over all. It isn't, but it's a nice round number to work with.

Buddy A makes 200 grand a year, and Buddy B makes say 45 grand.

At 20% taxation Buddy A will lose $40 grand and Buddy B will lose $9000. Now are you legitimately trying to tell me that this isn't fair?

Or is the real system more fair where Buddy A uses his money to hire an accountant who knows how to prtoect his money and gets him paying less taxes? Now he's not carrying his share of the burden he is expecting everybody else to do it for him because well, he has money so he shouldn't have to part with it, right?

The problem lies in with overall general greediness of people. Me? If I were even making say, 24K A YEAR, I could live perfectly comfortably, and feel like a million bucks. Because I'm not afraid to live in a one bed room apartment in a *ghetto* part of town, buy generic brand groceries and just have a car that runs decently enough to get me from point A to point B.

But the way we are taught is that this form of "mediocrity" is unacceptable and we are generally left to desire far more than we are capable of getting. Once we finally acheive the top, we are encouraged to horde our money and actually disdain from trying to help everyone else make ends meat. So we don't want to tax the rich guys or piss off the big man, because we dont want to ruin our chances of someday being that rich guy.
