I'm not a huge Lesnar fan myself. But he got what is arguably the greatest rub in WWE history by ending the Streak. The possibility is there to have a huge series of feuds with him against the top faces in the company who he can dominate. Those feuds will make money because it will be Daniel Bryan (the new People's Champion) vs. Brock Lesnar (the Man Who Ended the Streak), it will be John Cena (the top guy in the promotion for the last decade) against Brock Lesnar (the Man Who Ended the Streak), it will be CM Punk (the longest-reigning WWE Champion in the modern era) against Brock Lesnar (the Man Who Ended the Streak). Every one of those is a money feud (yes, I think CM Punk comes back at some point....sue me).
Cesaro can go become one of the top upper midcarders in the game in the last twenty years. He can be the new Scott Hall, a physically gifted in-ring performer who can work heel and still get cheered. He can take the IC Belt off of Langston, crush Swagger, destroy Ziggler, break the haughty Alberto Del Rio, even carry the IC belt longer than anybody in history. And every one of those feuds builds him as a performer, brings credibility to the IC Championship if he's carrying it, and makes money for the company.
At that point, Champion Lesnar vs. Champion Cesaro makes perfect sense. It would be the modern version of Hogan vs. Warrior as Cesaro destroyed the Beast (after a no-doubt hard-fought match) and become only the second man in history to hold both the IC and WWEWH Championships at the same time.
(Now, I don't actually think this is how it plays out. I have a feeling it's more likely that we'll see WWE WHC Lesnar taking on Roman Reigns at the next Mania. To me, that seems the more likely scenario, but lots of things can happen between now and then.)
But, if you rush these two guys into a feud, one of them loses an incredible amount of momentum and, since you apparently like Lesnar about as much as I do, I don't mind mentioning that it's far more likely that Cesaro gets fed to Lesnar than the other way around. No fan of Cesaro should want to see this feud right now because Cesaro's going to lose this match at this point, and I'm afraid it's going to turn him into just another midcard jobber.
