Upon making his debut in the WWE MVP seemed destined for greatness. A major force fueding with top tier talent like the Undertaker. As a heel he molded the MVP character. However in the past 12-16 months MVP moved to Raw, turned face, and has lost all momentum.

Recently MVP has moved back to Smackdown, however hasn't settled into his face role. He seems to play a good face, however the booking has been very inconsistant.

Should MVP turn heel? Is he in the right environment on SD? Would you like to see him in a main event role, or mid-card? How do you bring MVP back into the thick of things?

I think being the pro for David Otunga was a big opportunity for a fued there. However the WWE dropped the ball on that. I say NEXUS tries to recruit MVP to join forces. MVP the face, struggles to make up his mind, and finally turns heel to lead the group.

I really don't think Nexus needs another "Leader" a member might be good since their down to 5 now and im predicting that tarver's days are numbered but a leader just wouldn't feel right..

MVP really needs to turn heel and it definitely is a time for a change.

I really enjoyed his first few years in WWE. I loved his gimmick and his wrestling skills. So much so, That I would say he was one of my favourite wrestlers at the time. With the constant praise from JBL, It was hard not to enjoy him. However, he got old and boring and he was moved to Raw once he turned face. I was hoping that he would be moved to the main event (On his first Raw, He battled Orton). He then got moved back to SD and he's still boring. I did enjoy his run on NXT, But still.. He needs to turn heel.

Following the ECW-RAW trade, Henry, Swagger, and Bourne all fought Orton.... None of them went anywhere really but Swagger and that was on SmackDown... soo....

^ And that's got what to do with MVP?

MVP has the best potential out of him and Henry. MVP started his career with so much potential and his future looked so bright but it's now all gone down the drain.

What I would like from him in the future: A heel turn and a move to Raw where he would feud with Danielson (After he gets the belt off Miz). MVP would then capture the US belt and have a decent run as a heel US champ.

Stop.. What are you talking about?

MVP doesnt have a tag partner and his matches are predictable? I suggested he get a new gimmick (But his matches would still be predictable, You're so stupid). A US title run would be great considering he's only held the belt once or twice.

Seeing some guy win the same title over and over with the same gimmick is still boring as fuck dude.. its not like were not gonna know its MVP... he needs to hold something else first before he gets another US title run..

The same title over and over again? He's had the belt twice in 4 years. That's hardly over and over again. So which over belt are you going to give him? The IC belt (Exactly the same prestige as the US belt), The Tag belts (He'd need to find a partner then establish a group) or the World title (Which he's too shitty to get, Right?). I think my way is the best way regarding his future. He should turn heel (& Create a new gimmick), Travel to Raw and capture the US belt.

He shouldn't hold the US title again without holding something else first. He needs a gimmick change badly and then capture a different title with a lengthy reign, i never said MVP is too shitty to get the World title, hes not being pushed and his gimmick isn't really great..

Honestly, with the number of heels on Smackdown, and the lack of faces, MVP would have much better chances as a face than a heel. I think he could fit into a mid card face role and feud with someone like Cody or continue his feud with Swagger and have much more success/air time than if he was to be turned heel. He isn't too bad on the mic or in the ring, but as a heel he would get completely overshadowed by guys like Punk and Kane, and I think as a face he could do alot to push somebody like Cody or even Ziggler after his program with Swagger runs it's course. I dont see him winning the world title, but maybe another run with the US or IC title could be nice.

Why do people still give a fuck about MVP? He's been crap for the past 2 years. When he first came he was great. In his career, he won some gold, had some decent matches, got some pops and some heat. Now it's time for much better talent to get the shine. MVP is nothing more than the next Carlito. A heel turn that's past due gets shitted on by terrible booking and lack of creative faith and just carelessness

The only thing is, how do you repackage him??? Maybe call him "The MVP" Antonio Banks???? I don't know what WWE would do. I don't mind him getting another run with the US title. It's happened in the past with guys like Ric Flair, Lex Luger, or even Barry Windham. Give them mulitple or long runs with the title before he gets main event matches. I think MVP needs to reinvent himself. He's got charisma, he's got mic skills, and he's not too bad in the ring. I think the gimmick itself has ran it's course.

"He's been booked like shit" would be a far fairer assesment.

In short... A waste of talent.

Granted he made for a better heel, but he might have gotten somewhere as a face if it wasn't such awful booking. He was pretty damn hot having called out Orton upon his arrival on Raw and we saw glimpses of what could/might have been when he was butting heads with Miz & Swagger when they were all chasing the US title later that year.

Similarly as a heel, you only need to look at his performance in the 2008 EC (That match's true MVP.... Pun intended!) & his VIP lounge with Flair to see his potential as a top heel.

With all this young talent getting pushed (to whatever degree), in terms of the office, I think his age is starting to count against him now.

Said it a million times before, but he should have been granted a title shot against HHH whilst he was champ over on SD... Even if they never had any real intention of making him a bonafide ME-er, at least HHH would have had a fresh and capable challenger to chew up rather than giving us the awful shit we were served vs. Kozlov & Khali.

The way you repackage him is a pissed off heel who wants to grab a belt. He shouldn't be one of those "Super Serious" heels but he should be like the Miz. I hope he grabs a belt, He has massive potential.
