Following his pinfall loss to Kung Fu Naki on last Friday's SmackDown, Montel Vontavious Porter's losing streak has reached double digits. Porter has lost ten consecutive television matches in a row, including ten clean pinfall losses. He's also lost on nine consecutive editions of Friday Night SmackDown.

Here is the updated "MVP Loss-A-Meter":

08-29 SmackDown - Pinfall loss to Jeff Hardy.
09-05 SmackDown - Pinfall loss to Shelton Benjamin.
09-07 Unforgiven - Pinned twice; by Jeff Hardy, and by Triple H at the conclusion of the match.
09-12 SmackDown - Lost Fatal Four Way Match to Jeff Hardy when Kendrick was pinned.
09-19 SmackDown - Pinfall loss to Triple H.
09-26 SmackDown - Pinfall loss to Triple H in tag match vs. Triple H & Jeff Hardy.
10-03 SmackDown - Pinfall loss to Jeff Hardy in All Star Eight-Man Tag Team Match.
10-10 SmackDown - Pinfall loss to Jeff Hardy.
10-17 SmackDown - Pinfall loss to R-Truth.
10-24 SmackDown - Pinfall loss to Kung Fu Naki in tag match vs. R-Truth & Kung Fu Naki.

damn, and I can't believe how much WWE was trying to push this guy at the end of last year. I really don't know what's next for him, he's kinda stuck in between the US and WHC belts. I'm at least hoping that they put him in some sort of alliance to keep him fresh.

I dunno what WWE are trying to do with MVP but they must have a reason for the losing streak. I could see it as MVP making an official gimmick change with some kinda "No more Mr. Nice Guy" promo and then he wins a few squash matches and then the losing streak will just kinda be forgotten about and MVP goes to the role he was playing before or getting psuhed to the ME.

You know what's gonna happen? In a couple of months, MVP will be in a main event program with whoever is the champ. No one will buy into MVP as a legit contender (Due to the multiple losses), WWE will put the blame on him (Instead of blaming themselves) and MVP will be relegated to a career mid-carder/upper mid-carder.

Let this be a lesson to you: don't insult the people who make a living watching you piss. They deserve just as much dignity and respect as you do. :shifty:

I can't believe Kozlov is getting pushed ahead of Porter considering how they protected him for most of 2 years.

Let it be known that that guy ^ ain't me.

MVP has been jobbing a ridiculous amount here recently, especially considering he was a fingertips reach from the ME only 5-6 months ago. Poor guy, though Switchy has an interesting idea.

That is complete BS, MVP could be a top heel on Smackdown right now, but the WWE/HHH contunie to BURRY HIM, ugh i can't stand the WWE anymore.

I hope you're right, but we've already pretty much seen that (save for the promo itself) in the months after he dropped the US title to Matt (every week Foley was talking about the meaner more agressive MVP and it WAS visible to see in the ring)... I HONESTLY thought Unforgiven was his night (*) and that he was gonna be the one to walk out of the scramble with the belt (pulling what Jericho did in the the dying moments, but really taking it to BK, Shelton & Jeff whilst dodging HHH), but they just had everyone kick his ass and since then he's been relentlessly jobbed.

(*I truly believe WWE missed the boat on this - They could have given him maybe a 2 or 3 month run as champ; simply having him narrowly escape The Game by dastardly means and still got the belt back on HHH by Armageddon in time for him to role into WM as champ.)

Unless he is being punished for something we're not aware of, I fear that Soulpower has got this spot-on... Don't get me wrong, it'b be great for the mid-card, but considering his charisma and mic work (not that his ring work is shoddy...) he should be duelling on the mic with the likes of Cena, HHH, Y2J, HBK and such. MVP can draw if only they'd let him.

You guys do know, storyline wise, he's ONE win away from a huge bonus, right? They've been mentioning it on Smackdown quite recently, and I suppose this storyline coincides with his punishment, I suppose, as a means of explanation. Personally, I don't care for MVP, so whatever happens, happens.

So know HHH has to power to bury people he doesn't even face.

I didn't know this.. Must have missed that episode/segment.

I kinda see what you're getting at but it doesn't change what we are seeing on TV.... MVP losing every week for the last 2/3 months. The stroyline does nothing to protect the characters credibility.

I think (don't knwo if its said before though) What will happen is MVP will realise his losses, go nuts and go on a chair shot rampage pretty much ending all of his matches my DQ and beating people up leaving them in a bloody mess. Giving him a Main Event edge and giving him a new status as a mean streak MVP ? Kinda.
