Where's the young up and comers? I keep genuinely wondering this. They've lost the Rascalz and the only sign of youth on "their" side is the NXT dross

I imagine they'll still get some new faces no problem, but idk if they'll ever get back into a position where talent like Moose or Josh Alexander are choosing to stay with TNA than go elsewhere. It's back to just being, use TNA as a way to establish yourself to make it into WWE or AEW

Really sad that they fired the one guy capable of getting actual TNA names to stay with the company when he was still thriving. My peak of TNA fandom at any point in time was probably whenever the day before Scott was fired bc the momentum was insane and still only getting better. The downward spiral on quality and enjoyment for me has been insane to witness.

But this isn't anywhere near the worst TNA has ever been either, they managed to get those Scott years I liked so much after their absolute worst. I still think the company is a cockroach and will be around and fluctuate in quality for years to come. Not being shy about partnering with both AEW and WWE at different times is probably a move that prolongs their life too whether I like it or not

I’m gonna ride and die with TNA probably as long as I can, but even I’m losing faith in their ability to cultivate a captivating roster. I think the problem is in their attempts to keep the larger names they’re doing too many short-term contracts. They should be looking to sign their top people to three-year deals. I’m sick of having to worry about whether or not their main people leave at the end of every year.

They don’t need to just think about whether or not they can sign exiting WWE people even though I will defend anytime they do because WWE people should not be off limits to sign but if you can’t lure them away from being AEW bound there are several prominent Indies with valuable young stars that make TNA amazing. Just look at MLW, NWA and hog and a few others in particular and you could easily get them over, especially with MLW dropping the ball with not having a TV show.

TNA should also talk to NXT about giving them actual superstars that can do full on sabbaticals in TNA. Not show up once every couple of weeks but like have a full six-month run there in exchange for the obvious contracts that they’re slipping them.

It's not the worst TNA has been but it's by a million miles the most depressing. Even in the horrible late-Dixie financial crisis days there were flashes of strong creative and the company wasn't being puppeteered to achieve a better monopoly over wrestling

Apparently Nemeth was on a handshake deal all this time, so it's good that they signed him up.

I agree with a lot of the sentiment above. The roster doesn't look like it belongs to a company that just got a new TV deal. I'm sure they have some surprises for tonight, so we'll see how things look. However, it feels like TNA should be doing more to keep talent. PWInsider said that TNA had a "renewal option" on Trey and Wentz, but didn't use it, and they think TNA wanted to keep them on a "different contractual rate". If I've read that right, TNA tried to lowball them?

It also sucks when you see Silva publicly stating that he'll help their young talent go to WWE if they want. Pretty much makes me think what Sky said above. There's been worse times, but I felt so much pride in being a TNA fan. I think it feels more depressing now because TNA got through a tough time and looked ready to take another step forward, then Anthem decide they want to take the easy way out.

Hopefully tonight's show makes me feel a lot happier about the state of TNA.

Two years ago Kazuchika Okada was getting on his knees to kiss the newly rebranded TNA logo and I really thought it would only get better from there :lol it's like he put one final curse on them for his excursion trouble

We'll never know so no real point in arguing about it but I feel like the WWE partnership would have been fine and even beneficial if they just kept Scott lol he was all for it and considering he was fired before he ever burned me, hard for me not to have faith he would have done things differently

Firing Scott threw away every bit of goodwill they earned
